Effort and work rate were there for the @EdmontonOilers EDM played a well-structured Tampa Bay team feeling it offensively. Really liked Podkolzin-Dickinson-Kapanen, more than held their own. Nurse-Murphy and Walman-Emberson pairings solid. Lost Special Teams battle.

I did Player Grades for The Cult of Hockey last night. After this media avail, I wondered “was I too hard on the guys”? So I slept on it & re-watched. Result? The coach (who I respect) & I did not watch the same game.

Team that has beat you twice in Cup Final, has chanted about your best players and chirped them and on home ice in a game you need to win you show up with no emotion and no physicality and now trail after 20 minutes. Not enough grit on this team.

@oilers_hub The Skinner hating fans wanted it. The media wouldnt stop talking about and Bowman paniced to make a chance. I didnt like the deal from day one. I loved Skinner and he was also a team guy in the room, which Jarry doesnt seem to be. Skinner/Imgram was my choice as a duo.

@NHL_Watcher You are gonna see why Edm traded away McLeod once Buffalo plays their first 4 playoff games. I loved McLeod but he disappeared in the playoffs when he played in Edm. I hope he is different now but thats why they got rid of him.

Oilers trading Ryan McLeod for Matt Savoie was one of their dumber moves.
