I think 3 years ago, I did something very funny. On my birthday, I did not say a word to anybody, not a single word. Zero build up too. By the end of the day, only my siblings had wished me a happy birthday. Even babe then no remember. The reason I did that was to tell those my female friends especially, that always bamboozle me that “Toby you forgot my birthday bla bla bla”, I’m always like “you didn’t tell me, so how am I supposed to remember”😅 When I did this, I also went back to them and said, “you didn’t remember my birthday”😂

In Salford; Adebola Oluwo (This guy was even born in Mushin before his parents relocated before age 10) Daniel Udoh (also born in Lagos, his parents relocated before age 10) Princewill Ehibhatiomhan (born in the UK, his brother plays for Reading) 2. In Bromley, Omar Kolawole Sowumi (born in the UK, Nigerian father, British mother) Damola Ajayi (also born in the UK, he’s a Spurs boy. Who remembered when Djed Spence posted a picture of his penitentiary on IG, with Ajayi…Ajayi was on loan at Doncaster and faced his parent club, Spurs) Idris Adewale Odutayo (also born in the UK). There are loads of our guys in the lower leagues. You’d hardly find a team without a player of Nigerian descent.

Man, this does not look good at all. You are grasping at straws here. Being an ambassador does not automatically mean someone is on the payroll of a government or organization. Ambassadorship takes many forms. I am an ambassador for my own institution and receive no payment for it. I think part of what is happening here is that many of us have lived within the Nigerian context for so long that the idea of a Nigerian who operates differently becomes genuinely incomprehensible to us. There is also, unfortunately, a pattern of resentment I have noticed that sometimes emerges toward Nigerians who have built platforms or achieved visibility — where success is read as competition rather than inspiration, and people feel compelled to diminish them rather than engage honestly. How else do you explain making such a bold claim about someone you clearly do not know, with no evidence, in what appears to be a deliberate attempt to “drag” @Tunde_OD name? For impressions? Clout? Or is this simply what unchecked histrionic personality disorder looks like on a public timeline? If you have substantive criticism, make it with evidence. Otherwise this says far more about you than it does about him.
