We don't have a tax problem in my humble view. Taxes have never been the issue. The main issues according to me are: 1. Not everyone is paying their fair share so those that are within reach get squeezed more. 2. Service delivery is not commensurante to the tax we are paying. 3. Most importantly, way too much leakage through thievery and thuggery that essentially means we work to pay the thieves.

Part 2 😂 Guys, I actually forgave him after that first incident 😂 I told myself maybe I was just misunderstanding him or overreacting. As the understanding girlfriend I am, I decided to give us another chance. Then one day during the COVID period, I had a flight booked in just 48 hours and urgently needed a PCR travel certificate. When I told him about it, he said he had a friend who owned a clinic and could get me the results on time so I wouldn’t miss my flight. He took me to “his friend’s clinic.” I did the test and was told to pick up the results the next day. The quoted price was 150k, but since I actually knew the owner from the hospital where we had both worked, he reduced it by 50k. So I paid 100k. The following day, we went to collect the results. I paid the 100k, got my certificate plus the receipt, and left immediately to do some quick shopping at the mall next door. He stayed behind catching up with his friend. While at the mall, I realised I’d forgotten my receipt yet I needed to submit it the company to reimburse me as was the norm. Since he was still at the clinic, I called and asked him to bring it for me. This guy didn’t even know which receipt I was talking about at first! So he told the cashier to print one indicating 150k. When he brought it, he casually said, “Oh Faith, these guys insisted and I added the 50k because I know you’ll give it to me.” I got so angry! I told him I was going straight back to the clinic to confront them. Why would they suddenly change the price in less than 10 minutes? He tried stopping me but couldn’t. I stormed back in. The cashier looked shocked and said she never asked for any extra 50k. In fact, he hadn’t given them a single coin. He was the one who specifically told them to write 150k, and they assumed it was our arrangement. Guys… I was in total shock 😳 So this bro was actually trying to scam me out of 50k?! Anyway, I forgave him yet again and went to my place 😩 Then on my actual travel day, I called and asked if he would pick me and drop me at the airport. He checked his phone again and said, “Just give me 50k and I’ll take you. Normal airport pickup cars cost 100-120k, but I’ve reduced it for you.” At that point, the pattern was too clear. I couldn’t lie to myself anymore. That was the end for me.

Expecting not to pay because the other person is an "intimate partner" is called MANIPULATION. If U don't intend to pay back, ask for a GRANT not LOAN.
