Ting Dev Update - 14 Nov 2025 📅 Week 15: Here’s what shipped, what’s improved, and what's next. *Shipped / Fixed* - Ting app for Zoom live on the marketplace. - Improved WhatsApp-initiated emails: Better subject lines + body generation for a more natural UX. - No more phantom Teams links: Ting now only generates Teams links when the meeting style actually is Teams. - Improved alternative slot logic: Fixed the bug where Ting jumped to “next Monday” even when Tuesday/Wednesday were better options. - Location improvements: In-person + phone meetings now correctly include the address/phone number in the invite. - SEO + AEO: Ting now showing more fully on Google and soon ChatGPT and Gemini. - Microsoft login edge case: Accounts without Outlook email now correctly fail on login. - Stripe live: Payments enabled. *What's Next* - Week Ahead email recommendation testing will begin to help you plan your time better. - Attendee Intelligence v1: Ting will send a pre-meeting intelligence email for anyone you’re meeting for the first time (or haven’t met in 6+ months). Automatically 1 hour before the meeting. - Custom Signature Logos (Gmail + Outlook): Users will be able to upload their own logo. Ting gets smarter, more useful, and more custom every week. Ting Dev Update - Week of Sept 1 📅 Week 5. The inbox fights back, we debug harder. *Shipped / Fixed* - Meeting duration confusion squashed. No more phantom “15-min quicks” or endless blocks. - Timezone + “not” logic smarter -> “not Tuesday” finally means… not Tuesday. - Reschedules no longer vanish into silence (Ting explains + offers a new flow). -> Cleaner subject lines in long threads (bye-bye, “Re: Re: Re:”). -> Ting now explains why time isn’t available (“back-to-backs,” “out of office,” etc.). *New Functionality* - Feedback loops: --> Hosts now get emails after 1st + 3rd meetings asking how it went. --> Guests get nudged after 1st booking experience too. --> Goal: catch edge cases + improve reliability (improve to ~75-95%). -Error logging beefed up -> clearer when AI needs more info, instead of quiet fails. *Behind the Scenes* - Customer calls across target segments (productivity, EAs, etc.) surfaced a key insight: people want AI to take on a lot, just not everything. - Offers out to more early hires, team expansion begins. - Building along 2 axes: --> Make a delightful product. --> Get users for it. The scheduling-link complex still lingers, but Ting is learning fast 👽

Ting Dev Update - Week of August 18 📅 3 weeks post-launch. The inbox keeps changing shape. Shipped / Merged: - Ting now distinguishes Ting vs. non-Ting users in threads. - Confirm-meeting now double-checks availability before locking in (learnt the hard way scheduling Ting job interviews). - Bug fixes: reschedules, meeting duration, smarter time interpretation (“after 3PM” finally works), mistaken “cancelled” replies. In the lab: - User-to-Ting flows (emailing Ting directly) - feature flagged, almost ready. - Calendar summaries being built into those flows. - Copilot tested on simple PRs -> small step toward dev automation. Beyond code: - Over-the-shoulder user testing -> spotting onboarding friction in real time. - Feedback loops with super users -> shaping the roadmap. - Reliability checks: Ting works, but performance still swings 25-95% depending on the case. Too wide a spectrum. We’re closing the gap. Growth: - 200+ people connected. - 100+ meetings confirmed. - 1,000 signups. The calendar evolves. The link empire doesn’t 👽
