Every year I say I will do better but here we are again 🙈 please tell me I’m not the only one who lets it get to this stage because they find this system so frustrating?

#askagtwitter for all the livestock produces out there….ideal laneway width, with limited space and mobility size up to 1500 ewes. I’m thinking 32m for boom width and spraying but wondering if that’s too wide/not wide enough TIA

@brodenholland We only grow them on irrigated country. About 7ish years into growing them. Plant numbers far more important than height but it's a balancing act to make sure they stay upright.

You all will be sick of my crop spam before harvest.... But anyway, bugger me it's amazing what these things can do. I dunno why tall beans looks so much cooler than tall canola. Let's hope they yield

@danking265 We have had a gator on farm for a while, slow and unenjoyable to drive, recently have had a Can-am which is a far nicer and faster ride. However early days

@becksta11 I know a couple of exporters selling back into domestic at the moment. Nearly doubling their money and not having to process the hay 😂 just load it back out onto trucks.

Blows my mind when you get calls from Locals that never buy hay from you but expect you to sell them something when it’s short 🤔

In go the irrigated pastures. Some would say too early. Pregnant ewes would disagree.

@ollyevans45 @FeedtechS @AUSGoodMeat It will run that smoothly that you will get sick of checking it & that's when you'll get caught out. After rain our buffer pellet would block the fill sensor. Electric motor would need resetting after black/brown outs.

@RensonSimon That tree was as high 3foot when we started. Our district was in severe drought again and we thought , let’s decorate that little tree to bring some cheer back for Christmas. For about 10 years no one knew who did it. We eventually needed a ladder and daylight and got busted. 🎄

@John_R_Bruce @Jusakstud @MrsJusak Our most profitable paddocks on irrigated country are our clover/rye pastures. Most paddocks we lamb down in, then cut for hay and then graze with store lambs.

@Jusakstud @MrsJusak On the other side of the country to you guys but I’m actually considering going the other way, increasing our ewe numbers and buy in trade lamb numbers & cutting our cropping area back. Havent done the numbers yet though. Maintenance and input cost are give me the brace and bits!

Asking my twitter mates. Have any of you that quit sheep regretted it? Under a bit of pressure from @MrsJusak . I love producing wool and sheep meat. But more money and less stress sounds easy.

These things really are just ridiculous..... 2 machines 1200t per day over last 4 days from 0.5 to 1% loss depending on frost and straw where lodged. They Just eat. Logistics is the hard part but we are coping

X9 sep. cover tests over position 4 and 5. In this test I removed the cover plates over the seperation grates in very dry and brittle canola. If chasing sample quality, try cover over number 5 only. If chasing rotor loss try no covers. If chasing seive loss try cover over 4.
