Strikingly, Boris Johnson says he does want Russia out of SWIFT, but his arguments fell on deaf ears. It is another manifestation of how Putin's invasion is an earthquake in relation to global balance of economic and military power

Russian economy, and they have knowingly disappointed Ukraine's government in not kicking Russian banks out of SWIFT, they fear that doing so would accelerate Putin's tilt towards China, since China wants to develop a rival secure messaging system for bank transfers...
