In 2023, a female sociology professor published a paper claiming that the battlefield cross memorial—comprised of a dead soldier’s boots, rifle, helmet, and dog tags—is “phallic symbolism” that “valorizes machismo” and makes women feel uncomfortable and impedes “gender parity” in the military. Putting aside the fact that the battlefield cross memorial has never been intended to represent the penis or male power, I suspect that if a group of female soldiers had constructed a vagina-looking memorial for a dead female solider, this would have been widely celebrated as a brave and virtuous act of female empowerment. Humanities departments are the problem. With their relentless biases and falsehoods on sex/gender, race, etc., they fuel community divisiveness and instability. They are themselves a threat to national defence.

@DrDaniS @LisaBritton I don't buy this sort of explanation. People just believe silly things and it can easily ruin their lives and other people's. Oopsie. It doesn't have to make sense. The world is not the result of a competent mind executing a plan.

Young adult happiness is falling, yet it’s being driven by the unmarried. Married 22-35 year olds are as happy as ever. So why does the media keep saying that single women are the happiest out there? Who wants us all single, and why?

I hate that term, Failed Marriage. Marriages like most other things are an experience, and this isn't some cheap attempt at making a quotable. Marriage, especially when you learn from it and grow from it isn't a failed venture even when it ends. I think people need to reassess how they perceive it, that way the stigma ends. If I resign from working in an accounting firm, does it mean I failed at accounting?

I lost my spark, and my wife suffered for it. And then I became an obsessive dad. I gave everything in me to my son. I was a proper stay-at-home dad. I became an excellent father but a woeful husband. After a while, she said, “I can’t find the man I married anymore.” I told her, “I don’t know what it’d take for me to heal and bring myself back. If you want to wait for me, I’d appreciate it. And if you can’t, I would understand.” She said she couldn’t, so we shook hands and parted as friends. — Jim Iyke on his failed marriage

Much of the gender war dynamic you see people adopt today is driving by algorithms. If you're not redpill, or feminazi, or if you don't insult someone with simp or pick me, that is if you're perfectly normal and well adjusted, you are invisible online. And what people constantly seee is what they become.

@LeeKurtiss @1TrophyWife1 @jakozloski Lol, I'm surrounded by the most women. You may be projecting your lack of good male friendships, which you already admitted elsewhere, on me. And yes, I advocate for men against feminist slander. What's the problem with that.

The data on marriage and life outcomes is consistent and not subtle. Married people live longer, earn more, accumulate more wealth, report higher life satisfaction, have lower rates of depression and substance abuse, and produce children who outperform on every measurable dimension. The cultural narrative that marriage is one lifestyle option among equally valid alternatives isn't supported by any longitudinal research. It's a story people tell themselves to feel okay about not getting there.

Women are contributing, correct, but they're nowhere near contributing equally to shared household expenses. If your principle dictates that men ought to contribute EQUALLY to household labour, you're obliged to agree that women ought to contribute EQUALLY to household expenses.
MissG🦋@MissGijae

@OBAMA8052 @Cr7Godbrand Oh please, women now support their households financially!! That’s the only thing men say when they ask them what they contribute , lol Like women aren’t working as well Stale argument, nexttttttt

@MissGijae @OBAMA8052 @Cr7Godbrand All I need to do is flip this to expose how silly you sound "Before getting married didn’t these women pay their own bills? Why does that have to change when they get a husband? Women should go and borrow money if they can’t contribute equally, but it must be equal by all means."

@olufash @OBAMA8052 @Cr7Godbrand So I said a bad thing by saying both partners should contribute to household chores equally? Before getting married didn’t you do your own household chores? Same way the woman did? Why does that have to change because you got a wife? Outsource if you can’t contribute fully, simple

I’ve been married for five years, and my wife does most of the cooking and cleaning. I hardly do those things. Why? Because she cooks three types of meals on the weekend that last from Monday to Friday. She only does laundry on weekends. She only cleans on weekends. We also do our shopping only on weekends. I had to help create these routines for her because she kept complaining about the “mental load” crap. Women create a lot of this mental load for themselves and then complain that motherhood is hard. No, you made motherhood hard on yourselves. She doesn’t have to deep-clean the floor late at night. She can do it tomorrow. She doesn’t have to do laundry late at night either. Laundry can even be done on the weekend. She doesn’t have to wash the dishes immediately; they can wait until tomorrow.

@Cr7Godbrand So basically your solution to her “mental load” was… giving her a stricter production schedule while you proudly avoid cooking and cleaning altogether? Revolutionary stuff 😭

People are reaching for medieval examples but... Singapore is right there. Singapore did not industrialise by retreating into an ancestral language. It built one of the most capable states in the modern world using English as a central language of administration, education, science, law, higher education, commerce, & global trade. Singapore’s population was largely made up of Chinese, Malay, etc The state could have made language policy a battlefield of ethnic supremacy(take a cue). Instead, it chose English as a neutral working language, while retaining Malay, Mandarin etc as official languages. It allowed Singapore to avoid privileging one major ethnic group’s language over the others & gave the state a common administrative language. Africa’s problem is not simply that engineers are trained in English or French. The problem is that too many systems fail to make any language, foreign or indigenous, a serious vehicle for mass technical understanding. We cannot give making up excuses for our failure to catch up with the rest of the world. When we are ready to hold our leaders accountable and put in the work, we will.
Àyànfè@Danny456080

You cannot think freely in someone else’s language. Every nation that industrialized fast Japan, China, South Korea taught science, law, and governance in its own language. Africa still graduates engineers who can’t explain their work to their own grandmothers.

@JacsiWomble @FamedCelebrity @UN_Women The entailment of that logic would be that you deserve certain harmful outcomes so long as the origin of the harm can be meaningfully correlated to the actions of a small number of women, who you're completely unrelated to. Do you accept this, radical feminist?

War does not affect everyone equally. Women and girls are more likely to be displaced, face sexual violence, and lose access to healthcare — all while trying to keep their families alive. See how war impacts women and girls in our new explainer: unwo.men/EOTT50Z2sL6
