Personal update: I've joined Anthropic. I think the next few years at the frontier of LLMs will be especially formative. I am very excited to join the team here and get back to R&D. I remain deeply passionate about education and plan to resume my work on it in time.

רוצים להיות מיליונרים: תהמרו בבורסה נגד תעשיית ה AI לדעתי האנושות נמצאת כרגע בנקודה של כמעט אי-שפיות. בתחומים שבהם יש תחרות עזה סביב AI - בעיקר בלימוד, אופטימיזציה וגנרציה - מתנהל מרוץ מטורף בין החברות לרכישת חומרה. הן קונות כמויות אדירות של GPU ומקימות תשתיות עצמאיות, כי שימוש בשירותי ענן יקר משמעותית בטווח הארוך. התוצאה היא ביקוש אינסופי כמעט, מחסור מתמשך, ומחירים שנמצאים בשמיים.אבל התחושה שלי היא שזה לא יכול להימשך כך לנצח. בשלב מסוים יופיע פתרון אחר - מודלים, ארכיטקטורות או שיטות עבודה שיהיו יעילים בסדרי גודל מבחינת צריכת חומרה ואנרגיה, ועדיין יספקו יכולות לימוד, אופטימיזציה וגנרציה דומות. ברגע שזה יקרה, הבועה תתפוצץ וחלק גדול מההשקעות והתעשייה שנבנתה סביב המרוץ הנוכחי עלולות לקרוס במהירות. רוצים להיות מילארדרים: תיזמו חברות שמייצרות את המודלים, ארכיטקטורות, שיטות עבודה האלה.

🇮🇱🇪🇺 While leveling entire neighborhoods, flattening hospitals, and generating global outrage on a near-daily basis, Israel also poured enormous effort into making sure people voted for them at Eurovision. Not content with just sending a song, the Israeli propaganda machine rolled out multilingual campaigns and social media blitzes encouraging people to max out all 10 votes for Israel. Because apparently every single international event now has to become a geopolitical image rehabilitation exercise. Even Eurovision organizers, a group historically tolerant of chaos bordering on performance art, had to step in and tell them to knock it off. And the funniest part is the constant denial routine: “No evidence of manipulation.” Right, just state-linked promotional campaigns across multiple countries, ads encouraging mass voting, and official warnings from organizers after the videos went viral. Totally normal behavior from people who insist the entire world unfairly criticizes them for no reason. At some point you’d think the strategy would shift from “spend a fortune trying to convince people we’re the good guys” to maybe just stop bombing the hell out of Gaza and Lebanon. 🇵🇸🇮🇱🇺🇸 The Palestinian Authority might be forced to pay for the Gaza rebuilding plan it has no part in shaping... Per Reuters citing five sources, the U.S. is considering asking Israel to use Palestinian tax money it's been withholding to fund Trump's Board of Peace Gaza plan. The withheld amount: an estimated $5 billion. Over half the PA's annual budget. Israel withheld the money as punishment for PA payments to Palestinian prisoners and families of those killed. The move has triggered a financial crisis in the West Bank. Trump's Gaza plan is estimated at $70 billion total. Israel was invited to the Board of Peace. The Palestinian Authority was not. A Board official's framing: "Money held in a bank does nothing to further the President's 20-Point Plan."

I can't help but feel personally burned by the Claude Code changes announced today. We put so much work into wrapping the (atrocious) Claude Agent SDK in T3 Code. It was the ONLY path they supported, so we made it work. It was hell. Now our users are getting their rate limits cut by 40x, despite us doing everything right. I listened to the Claude Code team. I had my issues with their direction, but I trusted them and took them at their word. I will never make that mistake again. Until we see significant change, it is safe to assume any statement from an Anthropic employee is a lie on a timer. The rug will be pulled, no matter how many promises are made beforehand.
