It should be understood that extending President @edmnangagwa’s term until 2030 under the Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3 is constitutional and does not constitute a third term. Section 91(2) of the Constitution provides that a full presidential term is three years or more. However, this Bill aims to extend President Mnangagwa’s tenure from 2028 to 2030, which totals only two years. Since that period is less than three years, it is not a third term. Therefore, extending President ED’s term to 2030 does not amount to a third term, and a referendum is not necessary. @snowballOfficia @DumisoJnr22247 @RMuzezuru @Chipokhumalo3 @MulakazuvaL @mug2255

WATCH | Members of the Mugodhi Apostolic Church in Hwedza were recorded singing a song asking Presidential Advisor Paul Tungwarara to gift their bishop, Washington Mugodhi, a big car such as a Ford Raptor, saying a small car does not suit him. They also appealed to Tungwarara to help improve the buildings at their school. The group was singing while holding placards in support of Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3. 📹h_mediazim, TikTok

@snowballOfficia Everyone has a constitutional right to either support or oppose the bill. The fact that we all have constitutional rights doesn't compel us to have convergent views regarding the welfare and governance of our country.

@Tafadzwaoleku1 @Tatenda_Agro Why not just call the water bearing geological formations as aquifers than mischaracterising them as streams? Please note that street lingo is not necessarily the same as professional jargon.

We surveyed their residential stand. They drilled for the first time, and hit a strong underground stream. No guesswork. No wasted money. Just water, exactly where we said it would be. That's what happens when you do the right survey before you drill.

@Tatenda_Agro Sir, the driving force for groundwater flow is the hydraulic gradient (pressure & gravity), and the flow underground is typically in the order of centimeters per day, or even years. Visualising groundwater flow as stream flow is, therefore, a misconception.

@Tatenda_Agro Flow within an aquifer is just that, a flow, not a stream. The fact that you are arguing that a blow yield is not an overestimation is an indication that I should leave you alone because you don't have any intention of having a genuine conversation. Have a great day!

@oniasmutonono Thats funny Underground streams do exist, they're called groundwater flow within aquifers or fractures. Just because you don't see a river underground doesn't mean water isn't moving. And blow yield isn't an overestimation. it's an indicator.

@Isaac23065 @ParliamentZim As much as I don't support Munangarwa, there is nothing unacceptable about this. Probably you also don't know anything about celebrated days from other religions. There is nothing particularly special about Christianity that you would expect everyone to know everything about it.

@DToruvanda @daddyhope Criticising political figures is one of the ways of ensuring accountability; it can't be interpreted as hatred. Politically illiterate novices think divergence is fueled by hatred rather than the failure to be convinced.

The tragedy of our times. They will even defend crookedness as long as it is done by their personality favourites. You will never get change in a nation where personalities loom larger than ideas, never.

@Brian___Jethro @DougColtart It's scary to realise that we have citizens who believe people can be arbitrarily arrested. It's scarier to realise that those who think like this could, one day, find themselves in the corridors of power.

Thank you so much for all the love, solidarity and prayers. I am very well this morning! A little sore from the bruises and abrasions but more fired up to fearlessly serve the God who stands with the oppressed than before. (And chuffed with my stylish new glasses accessory!😂😂)

@ParliamentZim What has happened to make us believe that decisions by 94.49% of the electorate were wrong? Why do we care much about money now than what we cared for it then? Didn't those people know that elections require money? Why didn't Mnangagwa complete him programmes within his time?

@ParliamentZim In 2013, 94.49% of the electorate chose a constitution that allows elections to be held regularly after 5 years. They also chose that a president must only serve for two 5-year terms, and that in case of any constitutional changes, the incumbent shouldn't benefit.
