Always found it wild how much *excess* roadway unstripped/unused exists sometimes in SoCal roads.
This El Monte transformation kept the prior one lane in each direction + parking on both sides setup, but now the community has a bollard protected linear park w/ growing native 🌷

@818perkins @alwayslastone It shouldn't be implemented at all. It won't do anything besides generate revenue. The real problem is traffic and the city of LA is doing fuck all to solve that.
