This awful Terf-y thread shows the power some yield to take agency away from people who need it the most. As a cis-woman and a domestic violence survivor, I'm embarrassed and saddened that stories like mine are used to weaponise the conversations around identity.

Managed to reject a bid to have every patient's pronouns documented on admission to our hospital today. Simply announced it as unnecessary and everyone agreed. Small beans maybe but all the satisfaction I needed today.

@Sophense @sianonymous_ Someone’s personal gender identity is not an ideology, and if you get “satisfaction” from denying someone something that may bring them comfort whilst literally having no effect on your life whatsoever, I’m sorry but you are the oppressor in this story
