Congratulations to our Year 6 Football team who won their tournament at Manchester City today finishing unbeaten ⚽👏

A fantastic morning making our puppets. We used a variety of ways to join the puppet together - stapling, wonder webbing, gluing and sewing. Then we decorated them so they matched our original designs.

In RE we have been learning about how Christians around the world celebrate Lent. We looked at how the first Sunday in Lent became known as Piñata Sunday. We spoke about how the Piñata represents our Blind Faith in God and overcoming sin. @OSJ_RE 🪅

A great performance from our Y4/5 girls football team in their first match of the year against Hindley St Peter’s tonight! Well done girls!

In English we retold ‘The Smartest Giant in Town’. We used words, actions and some props to sequence what happened. 🦒🧦🛍

We went to church to pray the way of the cross to fully understand the most important week in Christianity focusing the final days of Jesus’ Passion, death and resurrection. ⛪️ @OSJ_RE @orrellstjames

In maths we played an odd and even game and practised adding numbers up. Then we looked to see if there were any patterns.

After mass last Tuesday, Father was kind enough to give up his time and talk us through some important sacred altar vessels in our church. We have then used this information in our @OSJ_RE lessons this week.

In PSHE we have been learning about Muscle relaxation. We focused on tensing and relaxing different parts of our bodies. 🧘‍♀️🧘‍♂️

Year 5 enjoyed playing tennis today despite the wind! We practised volleying and working in doubles.
