@DazzlinArkue @TheGhostOfHope Majority of people will just run meta setups especially in higher sbmm lobbys so it doesnt really matter, sure u can do good with whatever but there will always be a certain meta that will render 70% of the attachements available useless

@oshi_yoshi @TheGhostOfHope it's fine to have 2-3 meta weapons with accessories if the rest of the guns in the game are good too, thats what i like a lot about mw3 and bo7. i can just run whatever i want and do good. give me good guns and decent amps and it wont feel bad

Quickdraw, Stock, Reflex, Suppressor etc is too confusing for casuals. Instead we need 70 levels on a weapon with 1000 attachment combos.

I think one of the things that ruins modern day CODs is the fact everybody gets lethals and tacticals without any tradeoffs and the fact that you can literally throw them across the entire map. If you go into BO2 Hijacked and try and throw a nade it'll MAYBE go about half way across the map but in BO7 Hijacked you can throw that shit from spawn to spawn.

Been playing #empulse the last few days. Fun little game, not much depth to be taken seriously by me personally, feels more like an Aim Trainer than an Arena Shooter, not a bad thing though, it's still fun. SBMM might be too harsh, I've been literally finding the same "Pro League" stacks, not a few matches in a row but rather days in a row, we know each other by our real names now, if this continues I can see us inviting each other to our weddings. Jokes aside, SBMM is too strict for a niche game like this, and it would be much better if it stayed in ranked modes only, pubs must be chaotic random fun and not sweatfests that god have mercy if you dare play solo and try to use something besides the meta. Que times also way too long, 5mins on avg to find a game is unnacceptable. Another thing to blame SBMM for. Servers seem to be held together with duct tape and prayers, there's rubberbanding and lagspikes every other match, I know it's early access, but goddamn! Mechs are cool, but shouldn't be on every mode, they are just annoying gimmicks to lure titanfall fans in. The game also needs more fun Halo modes such as "Team Snipers" "Team Swat" etc... And definitely needs a killcam, we need to know how we died because some deaths are just sus to say the least. Overall, it's a fun game that scratches the itch for a movement arena shooter, I hope it survives more than a few months because we don't get many of those nowadays.

aim assist discourse back around again. genuinely i do not understand how any self respecting comp player can advocate for an artificial assist feature. some inputs are simply better for different genres, it'd be absurd of me to join rocket league or track mania, refuse to use a hall effect keyboard and demand driving assist as compensation for using the "inferior input" features like this should exist, but they are for casual players, if you are not willing to use the input that gives you the most options (arm and wrist in your aim for mnk or 360 degrees of rotation for controller) or at the very least using the hardware options (hall effect for keyboard and gyro for controller) i view you no different than the casual player the features are actually meant for and your gameplay is unimpressive to me.
