Hmn! I watched the same trip Segun had with the minister and his views reflected the reality experienced during the trip. Changing ones held view to reflect a real situation experienced on hand only shows a mind that is REAL and non partisan. Mr Segun Sowunmi also expressed surprise at the depth of details of the installed infrastructure by Hon Olubunmi Ojo when he visited his office. As a public person, criticism would come your way from people who do not share your views on many issues my brother.

The same Segun Sowunmi that is criticizing me today was saying Ruffy my men just one year ago. The whole debacle started after he went on a tour with the minister of works and came on TV to praise to minister and I challenged his point of view Once you challenge their conviction you are the enemy! Based on search results available as of March 2026, reports are circulating in Nigerian media regarding a massive financial crackdown that allegedly recovered over ₦12 trillion. [1, 2] However, this figure is highly contentious and stems from allegations by a Special Investigator, Jim Osayande Obazee, targeting the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) under former Governor Godwin Emefiele. These claims have not been formally confirmed by the Federal Government or the EFCC (Economic and Financial Crimes Commission) through official, audited statements as of March 2026. [1, 3, 4, 5] Here are the key points surrounding the claim: The Allegation: Sources claim Mr. Obazee's investigation into the CBN recovered over ₦12 trillion, mostly alleged to have been embezzled by officials in the previous administration. Specific Claims: Allegations include the return of ₦4 trillion by former CBN Governor Godwin Emefiele and the discovery of ₦1.5 trillion and $275 million linked to a former presidential aide. Official Agency Records (2025/2026): Actual reported recoveries by official agencies are significantly lower than 12 trillion. For instance, the ICPC reported recovering ₦37.44 billion and $2.35 million in 2025. The EFCC recently reported recovering over ₦566 billion in the last two years and roughly ₦120 billion within a six-month period in 2026. Context: The reports suggest that many of these alleged recoveries are being made quietly. The figure of ₦12 trillion has also appeared in reports about a parliamentary probe into funds disbursed by Development Finance Institutions, not exclusively recovered loot. [1, 2, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10] Conclusion: While a massive 12 trillion naira recovery is a viral story, it is currently treated as an unverified claim or allegation circulating in media, far exceeding the publicly reported recovery figures from official anti-corruption agencies (EFCC/ICPC). BREAKING: Massive Recovery Shakes Nigeria 🇳🇬 Reports claim former CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele, has returned ₦4 TRILLION to the Federal Government — funds allegedly linked to his tenure. Sources also allege he relinquished ownership of six banks tied to him. That’s not all: ▪️ Former CBN Deputy Governor, Tunde Lemo reportedly refunded $500 MILLION ▪️ $275 MILLION allegedly traced to an account linked to a 6-year-old son of a former presidential aide ▪️ An additional ₦1.5 TRILLION connected to the same network The probe, led by Jim Obazee, is said to have uncovered over ₦12 TRILLION so far — potentially one of the largest financial crackdowns in Nigeria’s history. ⚠️ Note: These claims are not yet independently verified. If confirmed, this could redefine Nigeria’s anti-corruption fight. — @ishaqsamaila5

I sincerely thank President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, for my ambassadorial posting. This is a man with a heart of gold, and as I have previously said, the President is a most Christlike individual, with the capacity to forgive and forbear. Nigeria could not have had a better leader for the present time and for the next five years, by the grace of God. I accept this appointment and posting to the glory of God and for the betterment of Nigeria, even as I pledge my unalloyed loyalty to the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the custodian of the Constitution and the Head of State of Nigeria. I once again thank my foster parents, Esijolomi and Omerewumi, who moulded me, as a piece of clay they received from God, into what I am today. Other than God, NO OTHER HUMAN BEINGS have been more responsible for making me into what I am today than these two angels, who in my mother tongue are referred to as my Olayemi. I thank my biological parents, both of whom are now deceased, Bemigho and Ochuko, through whom I came into this world. Even in death, I love you both. I thank my wife, Hana, who has filled me with such peace of mind since I met her, and has been an encourager and nurturer. May God bless my friend who sticks closer than a brother, Malam Nuhu Ribadu. Although I have said this publicly before, let me repeat it today. This is not hyperbole to me. If it were possible for all the goodness on Earth to be domiciled in a single human being, that person would be Malam. He is blind to religion, region, communion and ethnicity—a credit to Nigeria and humanity. Through him, God made it possible for me to be a Presidential spokesman. And today, without saying much, what I have left unsaid says it all. It is most fitting that this posting to the United Mexican States comes as I begin the six-day climb to Mount Kilimanjaro to hoist Nigeria's flag on the summit of Africa's highest mountain. As I take each step, I am reminded of how God, in His infinite mercies, has used President Bola Tinubu to reposition Nigeria for greatness, such that in 2025, as recently revealed by both the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, Nigeria, a country with just 2% of the world's population, was the sixth greatest contributor to global GDP. Nigeria is rising under the present administration, as demonstrated by the hosting of the largest single tourist event in Africa in 2025, Detty December, which attracted 1.2 million tourists to Nigeria in December 2025 alone, without a single death, robbery, or domestic incident. A sign that, though we may have localised challenges, Nigeria is a safe and secure destination for your holiday and investments, as well as a politically stable nation, and the only country in Africa where five former Presidents and Heads of State dwell in peace within the country with the incumbent President. I devote my life again and afresh to Nigeria to be faithful, loyal, and honest and to serve and market Nigeria to the best of my ability, so help me God. Ambassador Reno Omokri

The Governor is correct. He should have presented a data for Mr Governor to dispute or agree to. How can you ask the Governor to rate his performance. Performance or impact assessment is duly done by an independent person or body. However, I condemn Mr Governor's use of language. Rather than say stupid, he could have said it was an unwise thing to say. Abi?

Dear David, i understand your drift and insinuation of marginalization in your response. But at some level of management, appointments become political and at the behest of the commander in chief. Many other qualities are considered above and beyond seniority. Even in business school, you are made to understand that when you get to a level of seniority, promotion or elevation becomes an issue of relevance and alignment to certain corporate and shareholders values and expectations. i have done a little research to find out why the President would have acted as he did. Please, find below a little insight into how an Inspector General of Police may be appointed.

He is completely detached from how government works he just chose to be mischievously vindictive. There are three levels of government in Nigeria with defined constitutional powers and responsibilities. Governors are heads of sub-national and are vested with the powers to act as such.

I reluctantly had to come back to this issue with the seeming changes in outlook about Africa and Africans on the internet after speeds documentary about Africa, her people infrastructure and life. If you recall on this issue I had insisted on never going to argue with whether Black Americans are Africans or Africa being a shit hole. My position was that the level of education and exposure of many Black Americans are responsible for the dissenting views largely from what they watched and heard from those who mischievously profit from hiding the rich heritage and values that Black Africa possessed. Africa is not perfect but a continent full of love, values, drive, independence, opportunities, identity and a culture of survival based on healthy competition and a culture of survival based mostly on education and enterprise.Africans are very loving people, very integrative on outlook and character. We are people filled with love and joy. I keep wondering why Black Americans see Africans as sub until I attended a conference in Logistics in Portugal on behalf of my organization and a company representative given a lecture on difficulties experienced by multi-billion freight companies in the world started showing Africa as having a bad road, trucks getting stuck in the mud and very dirty mud stricken African labourers helping to push the truck out of the mud. I was shocked. I 2003, I was already a Director in a freight company. I was over 34 years and had never ,again , never growing up seen Africa as old as that. May be in the 1860s. Please Google Lagos in 1900 to 1970 and fact check me. Who benefits? I came back to tell Black Americans that we love you. We would never think of you in a bad way. I only want to appeal to you to please make as many trips to Africa. Enjoy your vacation. Meet the people. Nigerians are very well travelled and exposed people. Africans are not perfect but love to explore. We are a happy race. We are all one under God. What speed experienced was not pre planned. Africa and Africans are not perfect but we possess a rich heart that gives the best of love and happiness. Love to all and good morning to all.

After NYSC, I married my wife. We moved to Lagos, rented a 3-bedroom flat, had two kids, and I paid all house bills even after she started working. When I lost my job, we downsized to a single room and still struggled with rent, While looking for my national ID one day, I found receipts of blocks, cement, wiring, roofing, tiles, and a borehole, she had secretly built a house, I confronted her, she said she was waiting for the “perfect time” to tell me. I feel betrayed and broken, The house is ready. She’s begging us to move in, but I’ve refused, should I move in with her or not?
