If the ambulance is an emergent situation and medically necessary, it is typically covered by private insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid.
Most ground ambulances are independent contractors and have to be contracted with your insurance carrier. That's a networking issue, not an insurance coverage issue. Start there.

Over 2/3rds of Americans have these same anxieties over health care costs, and half couldn't pay for a $500 unexpected medical bill out of pocket.
