Revolut engineers built an AI trading workflow with Claude in 30 minutes.
Now they’re questioning whether they need to build product features at all 🤖
Inside Revolut X, two engineers - Nikita Ivanov & Vlad Kaminski - started experimenting with Claude automations.
Just a side project.
They connected Claude to the Revolut X API via MCP.
And something unexpected happened.
The product roadmap started to look… unnecessary.
Because when AI agents can reason across tools, the interface stops being the product.
The workflow becomes the product.
What this actually enabled:
→ Strategy in plain language
“Rebalance to 60/40 BTC/ETH if BTC dominance drops below 52%.”
→ Reasoning agents, not rule bots
The agent reads portfolio data, checks conditions, pulls context - then decides.
→ Full trading lifecycle in one flow
Screening → sizing → timing → execution → monitoring → alerts.
→ Composable intelligence
Trade, read news, check on-chain flows, update dashboards - in a single connected system.
One engineer built a working market-making strategy in ~30 minutes.
Not a demo.
First idea that came to mind.
Executed.
Most “AI trading automation” today is still toy stuff: alerts, queries, simple bots.
But MCP flips the architecture.
APIs become execution layers.
AI becomes the interface.
Which raises a strange product question:
If agents can orchestrate the system directly, how much UI do you actually need?
Feels less like building features - and more like building capabilities for AI to compose.
That’s a very different product roadmap.

Eli Lilly just posted head-to-head data showing its oral GLP-1, orforglipron, beat oral semaglutide across blood sugar and weight loss in a 52-week Phase 3 trial.
Top-line trial details
- ~1,700 adults with type 2 diabetes
- Head-to-head vs oral semaglutide 7 mg and 14 mg
- Doses tested: orforglipron 12 mg and 36 mg
Primary endpoint: A1C reduction
- Orforglipron 36 mg: −2.2% A1C
- Oral semaglutide 14 mg: −1.4% A1C
Weight loss
- Orforglipron 36 mg: −19.7 lbs (−9.2%)
- Oral semaglutide 14 mg: −11.0 lbs (−5.3%)
- Roughly 7.3% greater relative weight loss
That puts Lilly’s oral small molecule into weight loss territory approaching injectables 🤯
Orforglipron also improved:
- Non-HDL cholesterol
- HDL cholesterol
- LDL cholesterol
- VLDL cholesterol
- Total cholesterol
- Systolic blood pressure
- Triglycerides
Importantly, orforglipron did have HIGHER Adverse Events like nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, dyspepsia, decreased appetite, leading to more people dropping off…
Discontinuation due to AEs:
- Orforglipron 36 mg: 9.7%
- Oral semaglutide 14 mg: 4.9%
But, good news is that it’s a daily tablet with no food or water restrictions that greatly outperforms $NVO’s Wegovy pill.
Another big win for Lilly.

@simonvc @andyhelbig Vibe’d an entire telco billing system using the requirement specs of a legacy system. Took no time and to be honest I can’t find anything here that a legacy can do better. Ran a whole months real data through. So scale isn’t an issue either … @Amdocs is challenged
