A Threads user named Laushi Liu posted dashcam footage from his Tesla Model 3 on Sunday, March 8, showing the vehicle on “Full Self-Driving” mode at 23 mph near West Covina, California. In the video, the car approaches a railroad crossing where barriers have just come down — and drives straight through them. The timing is almost poetic: this video drops the day Tesla is supposed to finally hand NHTSA the data from its FSD violation investigation, after two deadline extensions. We’ll be watching to see whether Tesla actually delivers, and what that data reveals about just how common these railroad crossing failures really are.

UPDATE: Ended up with this cool little tool to both build and verify the training data quality; it turned out very accurate! So I am at least happy about that (tho it obvisouly was the easy part) The pipeline to produce this kind of training data (from any Warsh recitation) is in the GitHub below. The repo also documents my full exploration of the Tarteel-for-Warsh problem (and quite frankly, of the offline open source tarteel problem in general): what I tried, what's promising, what's not, and what I think the next steps worth taking are: from a non-engineer with little technical expertiste trying to figure it out. I tried to document everything so the repo might be excessively comprehensive at times. It's basically my entire convo with Claude on the subject, condensed in one repo. i watched a flight go from $483 to $547 in 24 hours WITHOUT a single seat selling searched london to new york on a tuesday $483 checked again 2 hours later $512 next morning: $547 panicked and booked it the guy sitting next to me paid $391 same seat, date + airline $156 less he searched once i searched 3 times the algorithm saw me come back and charged me until i broke the seat doesnt have a price you have a price and it goes up EVERY time you show interest couldnt stop thinking about it so i tracked down someone who actually built pricing algorithms for a european carrier asked him what happened to me "you got profiled. the system assigned you an intent score after your second search and raised your ceiling every time you came back" asked how to beat it "most people think a VPN fixes it. thats 2015 advice. the algorithm fingerprints more than your IP now. it reads your device your browser your screen resolution your timezone. VPN to bucharest but your clock says london and your language is english? the algo knows youre faking and sometimes charges you more for trying" "so what actually works?" "you have to poison the entire profile. not just the location. the identity" the protocol he gave me: VPN AND match your timezone and language to the spoofed location. mismatched signals flag you and can trigger a price increase use a fully clean browser. no history no saved passwords no google account. the algorithm fingerprints your session not just your cookies one search one booking. the intent score activates on the second search. there is no safe way to look twice book tuesday or wednesday 1-5am. lowest traffic means the least demand data for the algorithm to inflate against if the price already spiked go dark for 72 hours minimum. not 24. the intent score on most carriers decays on a 3 day cycle. come back on a different device from a different network "we spent $4 billion building these systems. theyre not going to lose to someone who opened an incognito tab" $900 billion industry the gap between what you pay and what the person next to you pays is not a bug its the entire business model stop letting an algorithm charge you for being predictable

solved it. quran-validator v1.2.1 now covers all 6,236 ayats with word-level validation. it tells you exactly which word is fabricated and doesn't exist anywhere in the Quran. turns out... once you nail the normalization, you can catch exactly which AI models are hallucinating Quran text (+ which words they're just making up, like the naughty grok 4.1 below).

been struggling with this, need help: comparing LLM Quran output to canonical text is harder than expected. same verse can be written differently: • الصلوة vs الصلاة (Uthmani vs modern) • والنبيّن vs والنبيين (single vs double ya) • يَسْـَٔلُونَكَ vs يسألونك (floating vs carrier hamza) is there a standard normalization approach for Arabic text comparison? or a canonical mapping between Uthmani ↔ modern spellings?

The Amazon layoffs are pretty ugly. People are finding out they’re gone in pieces: • access half-working • calendars erased before conversations happen • leaders disappearing mid-day • inboxes visible but locked • work still paging after roles are dead This isn’t performance-based. Profitable teams were hit. Top performers were hit. Entire management layers are gone while systems kept running like nothing changed. WTF? Timing isn’t random either: • The cuts happened just before major vesting windows. • Remote and non-hub workers were basically wiped out first. • Some are being nudged into relocation choices... I've spoken with parents on approved leave. I've spoken with new hires barely unpacked. I've spoken with managers learning they’re gone by checking their own calendars. The survivors aren’t relieved either... so many are already looking for another job. Probably much to Amazon's chagrin. This is what efficiency looks like in practice: maximum silence, minimum explanation, zero accountability. If you still think this is about trimming due to covid over-hiring, or H1Bs... you’re missing the point. This is structural - and corporates are full steam ahead in their revolution.

Clawdbot notlarım: 1. Mac Mini asla gerekmiyor. DigitalOcean’da 4GB RAM’li bir Droplet açtım orada kullanıyorum. Bu Mac Mini muhabbeti nereden çıkmış anlamadım. Mac ihtiyacı sadece Apple servislerine bağlanmak gerekiyorsa anlamlı olabilir. 2. Günlük kullandığınız bilgisayara asla kurmayın. Her şeye erişiyor. Tam yetkili. Açık kaynak ama yine de riske atmamak lazım. LLM neticede. Saçmalayıp hiç istemeyeceğiniz hoş olmayan şeyler yapabilir. 3. Çok güçlü olması sayesinde (ya da “yüzünden”) hemen hemen her şeyi yapabiliyor. Ne bileyim “sunucuya remote bağlanmak istiyorum” dedim gidip VNC kurup sunucuda ayağa kaldırdı sonra bana URL ve parola verdi girdim xterm masaüstüne. Yani “yok onu yapamam” demiyor illa bir workaround buluyor. 4. MCP olmasa bile shell erişimi olduğu için shell’den yapabiliyorsa oradan bir yolunu bulup çözüyor. 5. Cron vb ayarlayabiliyor “bana sabah 9’da teknoloji RSS kaynaklarından haberleri derleyip at” derseniz her şeyi ayarlayıp yapıyor. 6. İş mail hesaplarınızı vb. bağlamamanızı tavsiye ederim. Riskli. Ben sadece kişisel hesaplarımı bağladım. Çok deneysel bir şey için gerek yok bu riske. 7. Telegram bot bana WhatsApp’tan daha kullanışlı geldi. Telegram da Beeper’a bağlı olduğu için Beeper’dan kontrol ediyorum.
