So the “Speaker” Milton Dick is living up to his name it would seem 🤦‍♀️ Phil Thompson attacks Labor over veterans funding and caps. Matt Keogh responds for the government. Thompson says “Labor lies.” Speaker Milton Dick orders him to withdraw it. Thompson refuses. Good on him. Milton Dick then “names” him and Parliament votes to suspend him for 24 hours. So let’s ask the obvious question Australians are thinking… Did Labor lie? Yes. Yes they did. Apparently in modern Australian politics, calling out misinformation gets you punished faster than spreading it.
