Yet more corruption exposed. In 2024 98%, yes 98% of all serious water company pollution incidents got downgrade by the Environment Agency to minor. Time to end the charade, to call an end to the farce. Time for public ownership.

South Harting is a village in West Sussex with 2 churches,a primary school, a pub and the longest ongoing sewage release from @SouthernWater. For 657 hours (Feb 1st), sewage has poured into the Harting Stream, a chalk stream system that flows into the heart of the village.

Damn that @WATERSHED_i map is terrifying. River Lea at Ware, tests positive for 39 different chemicals capable of liver damage, carcinogen, kidney damage, hormone imbalance, toxic to fauna and flora and death amongst other things. I've been fishing that river for 25 years. 😱
