Just took my 93yr mum to vote. She’s registered blind. In a loud voice she said “Which box to say Fuck the police?” A cheer went up from the waiting voters and an apparition of Conor McGregor appeared in the sky.

Forza Europeans! Only 200,000 signatures needed to push EU institutions to suspend the indecent partnership agreement with Apartheid Israel. Bcs it is not OK to make business with a State that commits intl crimes on a daily basis. Power to the People. Together #weR1

Almost 800.000 signatures: “EU citizens cannot tolerate that the EU maintains an agreement that contributes to legitimize and finance a State that commits crimes against humanity and war crimes. Full suspension of the EU-Israel Association Agreement.” eci.ec.europa.eu/055/public/#/s…

You can't claim you would be like the men of 1916 if you support migrants coming into Ireland in their thousands. larger than the numbers of the British plantations.

You have until March 31st to pay membership to your local club for the 2026 season, and therefore become eligible for tickets for these games. It’s as it should be. Club members should always be looked after first

Nobody's asking RTÉ to juggle all of it. Nobody. They just want the games available to stream, whether that's the GAA, different TV stations, or counties themselves. But I imagine rights don't help that. We see in the club championship that the broadcast facility is there - but it's not used
The Irish News@irish_news

On Tuesday evening, RTÉ head of sport Declan McBennett made a social media post that invited ‘mature debate’ around the future of GAA coverage and how to find the balance between ‘attendance or television’. Cahair O’Kane followed it up and spoke to McBennett in detail about the realities of the situation and what might change when the current broadcast deal ends at the end of 2027. Deliberately bombing a pub (a civilian target) is a war crime and should be acknowledged as such. We should not have a different standard for Irish republicans than we would for the Russian army or the IDF. The case for Irish unification and a New Ireland is not helped by attempts to whitewash history.

One year ago, we lost our comrade, Bik McFarlane. He dedicated his life to the pursuit of freedom, unity, peace and equality. It was a life well lived, a life that shaped a legacy that will inspire generations to come.💚
