Completely agree with Jensen! Not exporting AI out of fear is classic case where the cure would be 100x worse than the disease. You slow down innovation, progress and US technology and economic leadership in the foolish hope that you'll prevent an edge case that hasn't even proved to be dangerous. It’s like stopping exports of metal because it might help adversaries build teleportation machines.

Weird how some people always target open-source in AI! First it was: “Open-source AI will destroy the world” (spoiler: it didn't and it won't) Now: “Open-source is a cybersecurity threat because of AI” Both narratives are far too simplistic. The truth is that the exact same risks exist in closed-source systems, often even more so. For example, in practice, APIs can create much bigger data and security vulnerabilities than open systems you can inspect, self-host, and secure yourself. And as with software more broadly, open-source often ends up more secure because it benefits from far more scrutiny than private internal systems. The reality is not “open vs closed.” The reality is that AI is raising cybersecurity stakes across the board, and we need to tackle that seriously together.

“ok this startup is cool but …” 1980: … what if IBM builds this? 1995 … what if Microsoft builds this? 2010 … what if Google builds this? Today … what if builds this? reality is, if founders listened to the “what if” pessimists we’d never have any startups or new products. That’s why they’re building and the pundits aren’t My observation: When these huge waves happen, these new markets are so damn big there will be tens of thousands of new viable companies, hundreds of unicorns, and a few iconic companies that become generational. The big cos play a role but can never compete with the glorious open market known as capitalism So for all the “what if” people - sit down, log off X for a bit, and let the founders do their thing. And let’s cheer them on when they do

OPUS 4.6 WAS NERFED DUE TO DEMAND BUT OPUS 4.5 DOES NOT SEEM TO BE HIT this guy ran the same test on both models. Opus 4.6 fails consistently but Opus 4.5 passes every time he switched back to Opus 4.5 on Claude Code and said "what a difference, feels like i got Opus back finally" he is now using this test as a "quantization canary" that runs it at the start of every session before doing real work. if it fails, the model is degraded. five Opus 4.6 windows in a row failed the untransparent nerfing is pushing people to cancel their Max plans if you've been feeling like Opus got dumber lately, you're not imagining it i'd suggest switching to Opus 4.5 to see the difference for yourself

Feels like one of the cybersecurity risks over the coming months will be widely used open-source projects that are simply too lightly maintained for how critical they’ve become. A few ways to help: - fund open source more, and reward maintainers better - bring some of the most critical projects under more resourced umbrellas like @linuxfoundation or @huggingface Which projects would actually make sense to join HF if we wanted to help them on cybersecurity?

your MCP server should include skills in the resources part of it, and for clients that don't support resources ship a 'load_resources' tool as a fallback

What if computer-use agents could do real work? We built Gym-Anything: a framework that turns any software into a computer-use agent environment. We used it to create CUA-World: 200+ real software, 10,000+ tasks and environments, across all major occupation groups, from medical imaging to financial trading. 🧵

CLAUDE OPUS 4.6 THINKING REDUCED BY 67% - Data shows Claude Opus 4.6 now thinks 67% less than before, dubbed “AI shrinkflation” - Same price but noticeably dumber; users report more guardrails and restricted output - Anthropic stayed silent until public data dropped; suspected compute-saving for next model (Mythos)

From what I have gathered Mythos = GPT 5.4 Pro level in performance Anthropic is just really good at hyping stuff up They’re also compute poor and thus would rather hype up than release a model that they will have to nerf lol
