@ShivrattanDhil1 @SriLankaTweet @SriLanka Indian tourism is overpriced period. under delivers - on cleanliness, class, quality, hospitality. Countries like SL, Thailand offer much better quality at much lower price points. Reflects acute market distortion

It took China 25 years to dominate the market for electric vehicles. Now, the country's auto industry is hurtling toward the next disruption: Embedding artificial intelligence in cars that will make the next generation of EVs not just network-connected, but self-reasoning machines running on Chinese chips and software reut.rs/4txzzmZ

@prasannavishy I can show at least 5 entry points that are up for grabs if Indian ecosystem can commit, deliver quality & scale to get integrated rapidly in the system. Prasanna (honestly) I see lot of buzz, events & event management but beyond that is still found wanting. Happy to be corrected

India is pouring concrete, laying fibre, subsidising GPUs, building data centres. The hardware push is real and visible. But the intelligence running on top (leading edge LLMs) is still largely foreign-owned. We’re building the toll roads. Someone else is collecting the toll. The answer is not extreme protectionism in seeking to build everything domestically at any cost. It's the UPI playbook. Let the government underwrite the compute infrastructure. Let a consortium of private firms, researchers and startups develop competitive sovereign models. Then let the private sector innovate on top. It worked for payments. It could work for intelligence. via @businessline

This Bengaluru-based startup can scan every single plant on a farm. And decide whether to spray it with pesticide or not. All in a fraction of a second - cutting down your pesticide usage by up to 60%. And behind this innovation is this tiny camera called Niqo Sense which can scan farms 30 times every second and has the capability to decide exactly what to do with the plant down to the millimeter level accuracy. And now they are exporting their products to the US.

TSMC's wafer ASPs grew 8 straight years through 2025 and will continue to grow in 2026 and beyond as new nodes come in and mix changes to HPC/AI. The pricing power is the key driver behind TSMC's 63-65% GM guidance for 1Q26. TSMC's wafer ASPs stayed near flat about 13 years (2005-2018) and then in just 7 years nearly tripled. EUV barrier effectively eliminated credible alternatives and gave TSMC the monopolist pricing power, selling a capacity-constrained product into massive demand.

@sunilgurjar01 2026-Tata electronics production isn't possible They've not even moved in tools It takes at least 18 mnths to reach production state after risk start (even for likes industry giants) So we Indians shouldn't go overboard on such claims leading to serious loss of global credibility

🚨BIG: India’s semiconductor push is finally turning real… Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw says 4 companies will start commercial chip production in 2026… • Micron • CG Power • Kaynes Technology • Tata Electronics Global interest from Taiwan & Japan is already building. For decades India imported chips. Now India is preparing to manufacture them👍👍 A quiet but historic shift in the making🇮🇳

Never ever take a travel policy from @policybazaar I took a @CareHealthIndia travel policy from Policybazaar. My flight from Dubai got delayed by more than 4 hours (Jan 2026). I put in a claim as > 4 hours delay, a compensation was to be paid as per policy document. And then the nightmare started. They asked for some docs, which I sent. Policybazaar RM follows up. They keep calling that Care Insurance requires more docs. I tell them it is too much an hassle and I don't want to pursue the claim. But they pursue me to send the docs and they will do the followup with Care. Policybzaar keeps calling and I do give the docs. All that are required. As claim amount is not worth the docs they keep on asking everytime, I decide not to pursue. Care keeps asking for already sent documents. Policybazaar has no clue. Each time different RM calls. I tell them don't call me. But I keep getting calls. And Care keeps sending mails and SMS asking for docs already submitted. It seems Care doesn't want to pay. Fine, I have learnt my lession. I will never buy again from Care and Policybazaar. I don't want the claim. Stop the harassment. Please don't call me again.

We, semicon professionals, in India are trying our own version of it this year. It is called 1-tops. One tapeout per student. Except that it is not massively state funded like China. It is based on voluntary mentoring by industry experts. This is the first year of program and we will mentor almost 4 teams of average 6-8 students per team. If successful this will become the template for the right association between industry and academia.
