Today in Abhiramapuram, I was in Airtel showroom when my car was fined for parking outside the white line (a little bit). Reason why I parked like that was I thought the work would take exactly two minutes. But I hadn’t bargained for my dad also being there. I needed to get him out of the car and take him inside, seat him and by the time the attendant was free, it was almost 15 minutes. Anyway, one of the airtel guys alerted me that I was being fined. I immediately went out, directly paid the fine then and there and also reminded the cops that an earlier challan was unpaid, they searched for it in their app, retrieved it, I paid that too, got the bills and immediately moved my vehicle. The earlier challan was unpaid because I had forgot to update the parivahan app and got reminded of it when I saw the cops. I’m saying all this because I think it is important for all of us to do the right thing, legally and morally, at all times, even if no one is looking. Simple ways to keep our life clean is to live an honest life, not cheating or short-changing others, and following the laws of the land. Do whatever you want, but remember that you need to be morally and legally clean to sleep peacefully at night. #moralgrandstanding
