Enough of the racist, bullshit here. The correct answer is to kindly let this woman pass.. she is clearly either in crisis in a hurry or doesn’t give a fuck. In any of those circumstances, the correct thing to do here is just let her pass. Let her bully her way up to the front and let God judge her.. Jesus said, turn the other cheek.

Gonna try to explain this to tech CEOs again: Young Americans are pissed. They feel betrayed. Half have embraced the far right & want to cut off your access to cheap foreign labor. The other half have embraced the far left & want to cut off your head. One side will win. Choose.

Alot of copying other companies and products, poaching other companies leaders. Most of the products are buggy messes, lots of issues with them. Enterprises still buy them, as A. They dont have a choice they need the tool for audit purposes or compliance reasons. B. The other really common practice is at least now the companies that are buying these products are also Indian, so you can kind of understand how that goes. They are all very tribal, lots of really interesting cultural differences with the different Indian tribes though they are racist as hell vs their own also.

@lecoder @pumpinuhard @romanhelmetguy No I get that and I completely agree. I was just wondering how his company can continue to "function," like what that even looks like. The place I work at just hired a team in India to do our coding. And fired the American for being too "protective of his code." It's everywhere.

@patchwork26 @pumpinuhard @romanhelmetguy There's widescale outages weekly, the economy is imploding, and our representatives are trying to replace us with foreigners thinking it avoid their getting lynched - what makes you think it's still going? This is parasites eating a fat corpse, not stability.

I am pretty much the only White American dude on my organization at a director+ level at one of the largest security companies in the world. And anytime an Indian leaves or any other person for that matter they are almost exclusively replaced with another Indian. Its actually incredible that there are no White thought leaders, PM leaders, VP level leaders anymore in these companies. The funniest or saddest part about it is that if you spend any time with them on a technical level, they know absolutely nothing, they are completely inept and are almost always worthless at any part of their job. As someone that also has to deal with customers, it is almost exclusively Indian engineers on these other customer teams. I am shocked and elated when I get to deal with any sort of white American team. Rare and far between these days.

Took me 8 years to get a green card. And that’s only because I did a special petition via EB1. I know of people who’ve been in the country for 25 years, have kids and still don’t have a green card.
Trevor Blackwell@tlbtlbtlb

People may not know that the processing time for green card applications are months to years. So someone could come on a O-1 or H-1B, work for 5 years, become critical in their role, apply, and then have to abandon their job. Incredibly harmful to US industry.

Yes there is a problem with how H1Bs are abused by some companies. This should be fixed. BUT. The total number of H1Bs is 700K. It’s 0.4% of the US workforce. If you’re saying that 0.4% people took all your jobs you’re wrong. There is 6.87M open unfilled jobs in the US. This is 10x more than there are H1Bs.

@stevegraham Literally the only people I've seen in the last 48 hours echo this sentiment have been European immigrants. It was a terrible terrible idea to ever open up America to non-European immigration.

In New Delhi, I met with Indian Prime Minister @narendramodi to underscore the importance of the U.S.-India relationship. We discussed the situation in the Middle East and U.S.-India partnership in energy, securing critical supply chains, and collaboration on emerging technologies. I was pleased to invite Prime Minister Modi to the White House on behalf of the President.

@Nick_Davidov @Brimmer___ Why is it so hard for Jewish people to see how they come across? If you came here on an O1 visa, then reveal that your priority is non-Americans, you'll just make people even more eager to end the visa that allowed you to come in the first place. 😅

The biggest bullshit move by DHS in its history. So everyone on a O1 or H1B visa would have to stop working legally in the US, go back to their country and wait for years of backlog? This includes top scientists in our universities, founders of billion dollar companies (at least 3 just in our portfolio would be affected by the way). And if we look at individual countries it becomes even more bs. Indians would have to wait decades. Russians don’t have anywhere to go (there is no US embassy in Russia, hello?). This is the worst imaginable way to disrupt important work for the country and pretend you’re fighting some loophole.
Homeland Security@DHSgov

An alien who is in the U.S. temporarily and wants a Green Card must return to their home country to apply. This policy allows our immigration system to function as the law intended instead of incentivizing loopholes. The era of abusing our nation’s immigration system is over.

USCIS is applying long-standing law and prior court decisions to require certain aliens with temporary visas who decide they want to permanently reside in the U.S. to return to their home countries to apply for permanent visas through the @StateDept. We're returning to the original intent of the law to ensure aliens navigate our nation’s immigration system properly. Here’s what you should know: uscis.gov/newsroom/news-…
