My point isn't that Taiwan has gay marriage therefore it deserves independence, it's that Taiwan is a very liberalized Democratic country and it makes zero sense for white leftist tankies to be so eager to see "reunification" given the country is hardly fascist or far-right

1. You can either choose "Taiwan is a democracy" OR "Taiwan is LGBT-friendly" because the gay marriage was approved AGAINST the mandate of a quorate referendum. 2. By this logic you should have opposed German reunification too since the DDR had better LGBT rights.

Also the PRC isn't the only incarnation of China. China as a nation and idea has existed for thousands of years. Taiwan is part of that.
