America's Sweethearts is the new Hard Knocks, and it's not even close. Pour one out for the quality rookie-make-the-cut show that died for the sake of an NFL fluff piece.

I had another 👶 a few months back! 🎉 Turned off Twitter during leave though and everyone left? Haha, you can also find me on the mammoth-like alternative if you so choose :)

@BenLesh @kentcdodds These two facts seem compatible with each other in my quick read if CNN+NYT are reporting correctly? Hate posts seem up while the total number of views might be down. Not quite sure if that's really true and, if it is, whether that's good or bad 🤔

@ElliottZ @cramforce @AndyDavies Way deeper than that, active strategy / priority in some cases. Many webperf tradeoffs require the 3P to deprioritize themselves slightly (e.g. yielding back to main thread) and would cause regressions in specifically prioritized KPIs, so they'll never happen.

@cramforce @AndyDavies Everyone seems to blame perf for Google's woes (also perf is gone), but I don't think that's why Google is a bad web citizen. It's definitely strategy or lack of it.

Google's own widely-deployed 3P JS blocking the main thread for 100s of ms is very disappointing. This isn't some sketchy stuff, just the most basic tracking stuff that is essentially mandatory for Google Search Ads customers.

I got married over the weekend! 💛 And it came as no surprise to anyone that the #Steelers were appropriately represented in the celebrations.

i'm going to need to write a blog post on this topic, but this is a deeply under-appreciated fact about web dev, and one of the reasons native apps tend to feel more robust than web apps. as someone who frequently amtraks through connectivity dead zones, it resonates deeply.

@nhoizey @____lighthouse I think this is WAI. 100% does not require knowledge of the image's dimensions in order to appropriately size. It may not be the ideal design choice, but it's fine from a CLS perspective, no?

How do you vectorize a 4 channel PNG generated by @StableDiffusion? Our goal was to use SD -> SVG to automate logo creation. It turns out that going from 1 -> 2 is simple with @opencvlibrary , but recoloring it causes the final SVG to have tons of extra paths.

@kumquatexpress Quantizing in a way that logos are is incredibly difficult algorithmically and probably worthy of its own model. e.g. we humans like simple geometric shapes to indicate shading and highlights even when the source image is always a smooth gradient that will be dithered on conv.

The last 2 weeks @wobsobby and I have been playing with AI art, and our first product is live on @ProductHunt! Ponzu turns prompts into 3D textures in seconds, letting devs like us make games without struggling with assets in @unity. Check it out at producthunt.com/posts/ponzu

@_developit @jaffathecake I hear they have models that come attached to a chassis with a motor and everything. Can store outside and move it to the track when needed too. 10/10 recommend :D
