@Megsenmumdr @dr_irfan_malik Excellent idea. I can set up a company to cream off all the easy, high earning procedures and attract doctors away from the NHS. That should improve the service at your local DGH no end...

Oh, the irony. Substitute Dubai with New York, Paris or even Washington DC. No names mentioned. New York is finished! … Paris is finished! … Washington DC finished! … The article above should have thrown in mass deportation and remigration for effect. And the boat crossing in dinghies. After bringing global ridicule to Blighty with their Brexit antics, they have their beady eyes fixated on the PM, London or the Mayor.

Consultants not being able to use the computerised patient records seems to be a theme of the strike this time? Is this actually a widespread thing? GPs have always had to write our own records straight away, do consultants never do this?

@MissluckyQ @FreeBabarAhmad @TAdventurousoul Yes, they probably do exactly that. Maybe treating prisoners like human beings is one of the reasons their reoffending rate is 18% compared to 52% in the USA?

@FreeBabarAhmad @TAdventurousoul Lol...what would the punishment be if you don't obey the rules in the nice prisons? Take away your tv for a week? 😂🤦‍♀️ The guards would probably have a intervention with the prisoner to explain why he has lost tv privileges you know, so he doesn't get upset 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

@Xeon4f145d96s1 Or, alternatively, he may have been trained in aural care procedures and be providing a very helpful service that takes the load off his overstretched local ENT department. Either could be true. I generally would ask the question and find out, but you do you...

whatcha wanna bet this pharmacist doesn’t even know the anatomy of the ear canal past EAC and IAC yet feels so confident practicing foreign body removals?
Olivier Picard@OlivierPicardUK

Daughter’s friend waited hours in A&E for an earring stuck in her ear. They couldn’t help so referred her to ENT 5 days later. So she came to my pharmacy & in minutes, earring removed safely, pain gone without delays. Reduce pressure on #NHS. This is what pharmacy can do!

@paulcounter The cost claim back scheme is 1 year from when you got your RPSS. This is for those with new charges that want to use “scheme pays” to settle those - see tweet 2 as you won’t be disadvantaged if they sent your RPSS late

I FOIed HMRC again regarding McCloud rectification, here are some insights into the data they sent me (table below) - 14,325 submissions across whole of public sector, lots more RPSS sent out, so *many* ppl still sat on these as many more sent out in NHS alone - DONT IGNORE these - weve seen avg compensation/refunds over £14k - 69% user, 31% using an agent - remember via the NHS cost claimback its fully compensable to use an expert accountant - its complex & time consuming with lots of pitfalls - you don't need to do this yourself! - Its complex! The  risk of errors and risk of not claiming the the right amounts are significant, so I and others advise using a specialist medical accountant - that's what they are professionally accountable to do! - Over last 38 days avg 24 submissions/day, 49 processed/day - so processing times should now reduce again - we're currently seeing submissions from 4.5 months ago being processed / paid. Submissions outstanding now falling Remember - you will qualify for FREE expert accountancy advice if you ✅Paid AA in 15/16-21/22 (cash or scheme pays) ✅Pension growth ↑ in any yr 15/16-21/22 post-roll ✅Pension growth ↑ £40k in 22/23 “Triage on a page” to see if can reclaim cost of accountants👉 bit.ly/TGMcCloudTriage Sign up here 👉: bit.ly/MazarsGoldstone Help video 👉📹 youtube.com/live/UXTKe-9Xa… Pls RT / share with those offline / whatsapp / FB

@samarknowsit @Jack_Frodo The question was fine. Asked from a position of ignorance, in a spirit of genuine enquiry. This answer was dumb. Using a position of more knowledge to belittle someone else is a sign of bad character. Have day off social media to examine yourself @samarknowsit .

Its a dumb question indeed ! Engines can survive some bird strikes, its not that those huge titanium engines can come down with one small bird strike. It would take a very large bird or multiple strikes. Airport operations ensures birds do not hinder flights. Finally, putting a cage would endanger the entire aircraft, a 777 jet engine creates a tornado-scale suction constantly, over 115,000 lbf of thrust and 1000m/s of suction force.

Argh! I just cocked up with a spam/scam call. My mobile rang, a number I didn't recognise. I answered. An obviously automated female voice said "I want to talk to you about work. Please add me on What's App." Then rang off. As I answered, they'll now have logged that my number is real. So I (& anyone else who's done the same) now need be vigilant for a wave of spam messages and calls coming my way.

@goldstone_tony I have paid my AA charges so far, but I have still not received an RPSS envelope. I have messaged @nhs_pensions about this, but not received any detailed response. I have my accountant's calculation from my 23/24 self return which clearly needs to be paid soon. Do I just pay up?

Just spoke with a colleague who asked me to have a "quick look" at his RPSS. Had never paid AA charges as "noone sent him a bill" and his accountant "didnt ask" about this. Obvious multi year charges If you are ignoring your RPSS. Don't. Free help may be available too 👇

@DrNeenaJha @DrSdeG @FionaQuigs I get a few of this type of A &G query in ENT. My standard response is to ask, "Have you discussed this with your supervising GP?" I very rarely get a response back. To be fair, I also have to ask this of GP trainees too on occasion.

Talk from gynaecology consultant to GPs RE: long waits for clinic appointments “We are getting a lot of referrals from non-doctors in primary care which is becoming a big problem. We’re getting referrals that we’d never get from a GP” The example he gave: “This is the patient’s smear test result - what should I do?” He said: - Its adding significantly to their wait times - They have a low threshold to see these patients as the competence/training of the clinician seeing these patients is unclear
