@antwanstaley @cds1029 If someone goes from calling a player bad, to decent, to good ... and that player is a 26-year-old QB, I'd argue that their trending towards becoming elite. Or, in other words, the Dree Brees trajectory. If you think player talent is static, you're shopping in Montana, too.

@fried_friar Speaking as a MHP, the responder would have planned differently: Not alone, prepared for potential aggression, and a plan for exit (to avoid getting cornered). For some community members, likely due to trauma, the sight of an officer contributes negatively.

@fried_friar Some communities now have MHP respond alongside cops. They specialize in de-escalating crises w/o violence. Imagine calling for help because a loved one is suicidal, only to have them shot b/c they were yeilding a knife. This fear is why many people avoid involving the police.

@fried_friar It's heartbreaking when a wellness check turns into a fatal incident, highlighting a system failure. A trained mental health professional could have made a difference. We must advocate for better crisis intervention models and honor lives, not make light of tragic circumstances.

@cliftonaduncan The best shelters have "bios" describing each cat's temperament and preferences. Choose a "personality" that matches your lifestyle! I have a "solo cat" (i.e. won't tolerate other cats) who I take on walks 2x a day and meets me as soon as I get up/come home. High maintenance. 🤣

@TJenkinsElite What’s most interesting to me is that Tua is demonstrating in the NFL all of the elite “attributes” that made him a contender for the top draft selection (pre-injury). Some analysts simply can’t recover from the complication of his first 2-3 years.
