@rajuvamsi007 There are smart Tesla investors who made a boatload of money investing in it when it was not profitable then got the hell out before its imminent collapse, and then there are people like you.

@tradingNQdaily @unusual_whales Bro Elon is talking make-believe. The only way this thing is doing surgery in 3 years is if it's a puppet being controlled by a surgeon. Step 1, install 1 single Optimus to take over a single job in a Tesla factory. That *might* happen in 3 years, but I doubt it.

@unusual_whales TSLA vol is completely ignoring this as optionality. When Optimus gets a commercial deployment timeline, that gets repriced fast and the IV spike will catch the short vol crowd completely off guard.

@Stonefoxcapital You clearly don't get it. Who cares if they have a new product or not? Tesla also had a new product, a Model 3, And the production hell almost rendered them bankrupt. I will be veryyy surprised if Rivian even makes it through 2027.

$RIVN never understand how so many investors look backwards. One can definitely complain about cash burn, but Rivian is launching the R2 litteraly right now.
David Rejl@Davidrejll

@Stonefoxcapital Only their literal business is troubled I see. Burning $2,5 billion a year. Good luck making it to 2028

This is crazy wonder which one wins. btw BYD is 50/50 EV and hybrids, only makes profit because of their battery business. Only profitable EV manufacturer is Tesla after 15-20 years of “the Tesla killer is coming” $LCID $TSLA $RIVN

🚨 HOLY SMOKES. President Trump just said it's time to EXPOSE "weak" Republican senators who refuse to nuke the 60-vote filibuster "It is time for the Senate Filibuster to END. Those weak and ineffective Republicans Senators that stand in the way of this should be exposed to the public. The Democrats are CRAZY!" 🔥 Play hardball. GET IT DONE. 🇺🇸

@DigitalDaisyX I would never put my child in a cyber coffin. Full Self Driving without lidar is a death trap. Good luck suing the richest man in the world when your child dies in a car crash due to faulty end to end AI model that shouldn't be allowed to operate on the roads unsupervised.

Great news for families! Tesla has reduced the minimum age for Robotaxi riders to 8 years old, down from 13. “Riders aged 8-17 must be accompanied by a parent, legal guardian, or other authorized adult for the duration of the ride.”

@DoublepPradhan @hamids Do you think all the insulting things Elon has said about Canada is the reason why sales in Canada of Tesla cars took a nose dive? Wonder if you'll be the last Tesla driver in Canada once BYD sets up shop.

@hamids @2getherChanging @KevinMelnuk It's wild that people are arguing about this. Adding a Lidar to Tesla's end to end AI model would probably cost them $150 a unit at their scale and would make FSD 1000x safer in edge case scenarios. It's a no brainer. Cheaper than an air bag and arguably more important.

@CJ_h04 @a16z There are edge cases where cameras are horrible and lidar makes sense. Rivian is paying $200 a unit. Tesla could probably get them for $150. Cheaper than an air bag. For safety sake why wouldn't you incorporate it into an end to end AI solution for so cheap.

Waymo CEO Dmitri Dolgov explains the benefits of lidar, radar, and cameras for self driving: "They're very complementary." "The frequencies are very different. Laser gives you very high resolution. Think of it as a laser beam that goes out, spins around, and shoots out millions of these laser pulses per second. Then each one comes back and you can sample the 3D structure of the world with very high resolution." "Radar has much lower resolution, but because of the physics of it, it degrades much better in adverse weather conditions. So—fog, snow, heavy rain." "If it's a nice, bright, sunny day, cameras are very valuable. If it's pitch dark, or you have the sun in your face, or you're blinded by the headlights from an oncoming car, then the camera will degrade." "It's a combination of the sensors. Each one is noisy. How the noise characteristics show up in different environments is different, but it's not like we switch from one to another." "They all go into the system that gives you, jointly, the best view of what's happening in the world." @dmitri_dolgov with @collision

@AirBreather1980 @a16z Tesla's scale could drive the cost of a Lidar to probably $150 a unit. Why wouldn't you incorporate that into something as critical as FSD. There are so many edge cases where cameras are horrible. With end to end AI models it makes no sense not to include it.

@CompoundCurious @TJTheWheelDeal Love how Tesla Stans are fantasizing that Tesla comes out with a car in this decade that doesn't suck and it puts the competition out of business. Tesla is dead bro. Nobody wants to buy a car from them anymore except for bag holders. Also FSD with no Lidar = Cyber Coffins.

@Invincible_322 I totally understand Tesla like the back of my hand after years of investing in them. It comes down to Elon being a bullshit artist and a moron. The best analogy for where Tesla is at right now is it's like MySpace in 2005 with Facebook just starting to become popular.

@Invincible_322 Between Rivian and NVidia, Tesla's self-driving moat has vaporized. In 18 to 24 months they will be caught up. Tesla started fresh with end to end AI in 2023. Rivian started late 24. Easily replicable by other companies now. Tesla is no longer special. Also no lidar = ☠️.

@Invincible_322 Bought Tesla when they weren't profitable yet. I did pretty well for myself. I sold when Elon went psycho and imploded the company. Ported a chunk of profits to Rivian. Set aside a small bit to buy an R2 with cash. I'll be ok buddy, and so will Rivian. Good luck with 355 PE.

@TeslaTrackerUS @BastianBraun121 PeOpLe HaVe TwO eYeS wE DoN't NeEd LiDaR! Lidar would only cost Tesla about $150 extra per car and would make FSD 1000x safer in edge case scenarios. Insanity at this point to not include it along with additional radars. Cyber Coffins.

@_iKrish @SawyerMerritt @Tesla Rivian's lidar is only costing them $200. At Tesla's scale, it'd probably only cost them $150. Why the hell would you not incorporate lidar for edge case camera blinding scenarios for something as important as FSD? I'll tell you why... False promises by Elon and lawsuits.

is LIDAR really needed? $TSLA FSD is near perfect without LIDAR so far. Humans drive with vision, sound and judgement. current Tesla is missing the sound aspect, i wonder we do need sound sensors for sirens and emergency vehicles etc. But LIDAR for sizing objects, not sure if we need it. @Tesla

Rivian CEO RJ Scaringe in new interview on self-driving: "@Tesla's got a huge fleet. So our approach is we have to catch up with them and compete. And so we're going to have more cameras with better dynamic range. We're going to supplement that with LiDAR that provides better safety for edge case conditions and allows us to train the vision models faster. And the incremental cost to do that is relatively small. And in fact any of the incremental costs that would have been there on its own is offset by the fact that we brought inference in house and reduced the cost of our inference platform so dramatically from what we have in your car. Your car uses an Nvidia inference platform. I say all this because in like the infinite long-term you know, you could make the case that once the models are very very robust you could have less cameras or you may be able to get away with less radar. It's not clear yet if that's the case for covering all these corner cases."

@ironted21 @moregainzs @johny678681 The delusion of Tesla bag holders is unreal. Elon fucked up and everyone knows it. The only reason Tesla doesn't have lidar is because of false promises and lawsuits. In 18-24 months Tesla is going to get lapped by Nvidia and Rivian.
