If leaning out is the goal, step on the scale daily. Not emotion. Data. Trends beat feelings. Most avoid the scale or cosplay behind “muscle gain.” Either hop on the bus to Fat Camp or get lean. Track it. Adjust it. Stay accountable.

It is a gap, sub-Saharan black African evolved separately from white Europeans and Asians. White people lived in areas that had long, cold winters, evolutionary pressure selected for intelligence, for people who could solve problems, organize, strategize, plan, prepare, and cooperate in order to survive winter, when it was hard to find food and stay warm. They learned to build strong structures and maintain them, making and improving tools made difficult jobs easier, it increased their odds of survival, so those who were good at making, improving, and inventing new tools survived and passed on their genes at a higher rate. Our skin lightened so that we could absorb more vitamin D. There’s even more to it but we’ll keep things short. ~90% of inventions. Sub-Saharan, black Africans evolved in a land of plenty, the weather stayed warm year round, food and water was abundant, they could follow animal migration patterns year round so that they always had food. They didn’t need to build strong structures, they could throw up a stick and mud hut easily and it kept them dry when it rained, no need to improve them or maintain them, they could just build another. There weren’t any significantly difficult tasks or anything that required significant group effort to survive aside from defending against predators, the environment selected for violence and athleticism, and a sense of tribalism to protect against dangers. There was no pressure to invent or improve tools beyond basic tools, things were fairly easy once basic needs were met. Skin darkened to protect from the strong sun. ~4% of inventions. This is all pretty well understood and studied, of course you’ll never see this taught in schools for obvious reasons, but that’s how things played out. We are not the same, we evolved in radically different environments and it made us fundamentally different. Biologically we’re nearly the same, but mentally and behaviorally we’re dramatically different.

Sad news for Ramsey and for me personally. Ken Coleman told me two weeks ago that he has accepted a position as Sr. VP of Marketing with a large firm and today is his last day at Ramsey. Ken and Stacy have been personal friends of Sharon and Me for decades. We love them dearly and are very sad personally and professionally that Ken will no longer be a Ramsey Personality. He is a very talented guy with a penchant for personal growth so we are sure he will succeed mightily at his next stop. While I will no longer share a microphone with him he and Stacy will remain our good personal friends.

The national conversation around stalled projects is steadily growing, particularly as audit reports, parliamentary findings, and investigative reports continue to reveal billions of shillings spent on projects that have failed to deliver. From dam projects like Arror and Kimwarer, to transport initiatives such as the SGR extension, and critical social infrastructure including hospitals and courts, the scale of incomplete projects reflects deeper systemic challenges. For many Kenyans, stalled projects are not just statistics; they are lived realities. Communities continue to lack access to essential services such as healthcare, clean water, reliable transport, and economic opportunities. At the same time, public resources that could have transformed livelihoods remain tied up in incomplete or non-performing investments. Yet citizens often have limited access to clear, timely, and transparent information on how these projects were approved, funded, and implemented. This lack of transparency makes it difficult to track responsibility, demand accountability, or ensure corrective action. At the same time, concerns persist around weak procurement systems, poor contractor selection, budget constraints, political interference, and limited oversight. These gaps create an environment where projects can stall with minimal consequences, raising critical questions about governance, enforcement, and institutional responsibility. The #StalledProjectsKE campaign is a citizen-driven initiative aimed at sparking informed public dialogue on stalled public projects, public finance accountability, and the responsible use of public resources. It seeks to empower citizens to question, engage, and demand answers on how development commitments are being implemented. The campaign encourages Kenyans to interrogate the systems behind stalled projects and to ask critical questions: 1. Where did the money go? 2.Who approved these projects, and who is accountable for them? 3. Why are these projects still incomplete? 4. What mechanisms exist to recover lost funds or complete these projects? 5. How can citizens enforce accountability? This campaign is not just about stalled projects; it is about restoring public trust, strengthening accountability systems, and ensuring that development is not only promised, but delivered. PM Netanyahu left his trial this morning for a security consultation at the Kirya over an incoming pro-Palestinian flotilla to Gaza. Around 100 vessels carrying 1,000 activists are currently near Greece and expected off Gaza's coast by the weekend. Defense Minister Katz sanctioned flotilla campaign, which Israel says is organized by Hamas. Israeli security officials say they will not allow the blockade to be broken. In previous flotilla attempts, Shayetet 13 commandos boarded and seized the ships at sea.
