Sony’s earnings call report presentation references Grand Theft Auto VI alongside its first-party titles.
That seems to strongly suggest the game is genuinely on track to ship this year, given how closely Sony works with Rockstar Games.

A new Rockstar Games review on Glassdoor from an employee working on GTA 6 says: - They’re expected to complete tasks that usually take 5-6 months in 2-3 months - Work schedule has been hectic since last month and they’re working overtime - The last few weeks have been a toll on their mental health - Some colleagues had to work till 3AM in the morning after completing their shifts It seems like Rockstar is pushing hard right now to get the game out in November.

Sorry it will never not be funny to me when gamers try to make out GTA VI to be some great evil in the industry because it'll put a huge emphasis on excessive attention to detail.
Rockstar are in a unique position and I don't see why they wouldn’t leverage it.
