Why do some developers (especially at banks and similar) turn off paste in password fields? What are they trying to achieve? If anything, it will make people choose worse passwords because they can't be bothered to manually type good ones.

@misfitpatriot_ @shabnam_774 This is how you get further south in Croatia without crossing the border - Pelješac Bridge. There's a natural border (big mountain range!) physically separating the two countries so the political border just follows that.

This worked well for you all last time, so let's do it again! If you'd like someone to use your Tesla referral code, comment below on this post with your link. If you're planning to buy a new Tesla, consider using a referral link from a smaller creator. Let's sell some Teslas!

Twitter, any advice on very good restaurants in Birmingham? Preferably curry, but not necessarily. For a celebration, but hopefully not off-the-scale expensive, because, you know, I'm paying.

@DeanEggitt @wesstreeting We are all being intentionally under resourced to stoke infighting. I think in reality it's very rare to find anyone who isn't truly patient centric.

Yet another referral rejection from a hospital. Hospitals are reducing waiting lists by rejecting patients and passing them around the system. It seems that waiting lists have become more important than actually treating humans. Whatever happened to choice @wesstreeting ?

@danielgoyal Most NHS doctors & surgeons seem to have a foot in both camps. I’ve been referred for 2 minor ops (again, nothing incredibly serious) & both times the surgeons did the work on a Sunday as they have private clinics during the week.

My son is on an NHS waiting list (nothing serious) Got text today by private provider offering a discount to go private and skip “NHS waiting list” It was from the same number the NHS service has been using Is this sanctioned use of my NHS data? Is this Two-tier healthcare?

My new batch of 500 business cards arrived this week. I hand one to each patient by way of introduction, so they know who I am. It has a contact email and phone numbers. There’s a feedback link. The reverse is blank. I think the cards help to keep confusion as low as possible.

@DoctorJLam This is surely a clinical governance nightmare. I know pharmacists who are using otoscopes with no training and nobody to ask for advice, no feedback loop. They are scared and feel out of their depth and very unprepared for what is essentially a money pot for pharmacies.

@DoctorJLam Who oversees the pharmacists delivering this service, especially ones that are inexperienced in managing unselected presentations? And locum pharmacists? Quite often they will have to sign a declaration that they are happy to see Ph1st referrals, even with no hands on training

Nhs bureaucracy at its finest. we had a similar problem in that our desktop computers in the Cath Lab were pretty unusable and slow and we couldn't play angios on them. Trying to get the hospital to upgrade was becoming kafkaesque- so my nhs consultant cardiologist colleague bought some memory from Amazon took the computers apart and upgraded them himself LOL they work perfectly now 😂

This little VGA to HDMI adapter represents so much of what disappoints me working in the NHS. A thread: 1/

@DickyShoulder @mjv__1 Presumably, I must be young enough to have avoided UMT's! But I have heard this mentioned before I think! And I was fortunate enough to be 1:5 in my first job with prospective cover for annual leave.
