Mets fans saying “absolutely not” to this trade need to chill out… Jones and Heiss would both be top-5 prospects in the Mets organization… Jones has the power and size to transition over to first base and has team control until 2030. Jasson Dominguez hasn’t panned out yet but is still only 25, and can also be used in other deals. The reason it’s an overpay is because of the fact that Weaver is the best reliever on the market right now.

Lindor Contract is one of the worst contracts in baseball right now. He either misses half a season or can't hit the first half of the year. He is 33 years old with six years left on his contract owed $205,000,000 and Mets in last place nowhere near competing. Trade him ASAP
