A year ago, I discussed with Bloomberg the impact of tariffs on the US dollar, based on my research with Hsuan Fu (Presidential Cycles and Exchange Rates). We argued that tariffs would trigger a dollar depreciation, and today, the dollar is indeed falling against major currencies
