@pyramuscrypto@keithedwards And yet all the lefties on here are asking if this is a real pic. You know, the single brain cell people that don't understand what this post was inferring?
@keithedwards Although I don't agree with the decision to centralize this authority completely, that's not exactly what he signed. He signed an EO which would give that authority to the Feds, not the states. Stop making it sound like he doesn't want to regulate it. It disingenuous
@PhantomLady47@RepJahanaHayes You're a sad excuse for a human. It's very clear you don't do any research before spewing your garbage. Watch the ENTIRE clip of what he said about 2A, not the snippet they want you to see. Take note of the car accident analogy.
@RepJahanaHayes Thank you. This man does not deserve this honor. Not when our children are being murdered in schools, and people like Kirk say that their deaths are “worth it” to keep guns openly available.
@RepJahanaHayes Let's be honest about some things on the real reason you voted no:
1. Because it's Republican led
2. You have probably never watched Kirk, but still formed an opinion based on cherry picked snippets & memes.
3. You actually do condone political violence against Rep
Charlie Kirk was just assassinated, that’s tragic, full stop.
But let’s not rewrite the man’s record. He publicly opposed the Civil Rights Act. He mocked George Floyd. He said he’d fear flying with Black pilots and vowed to force his daughter to carry a pregnancy even after rape.
You can mourn the death and still tell the truth.
It was evil what happened to Charlie Kirk, nobody deserves to be shot for their views. But let’s stop pretending he was some kind of saint. Kirk built his career on spreading hate, disinformation, and cruelty.
He called Martin Luther King Jr. “terrible” and the Civil Rights Act a mistake. He pushed the “great replacement” lie, spread 2020 election fraud conspiracies, and helped fuel super-spreader events during the pandemic. He treated gun deaths as an “acceptable cost” to keep the Second Amendment untouchable, while schools bled. He stoked transphobia, defended mass violence in Gaza, downplayed Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, and said abortion was worse than the Holocaust. He even bragged he’d force his own 10-year-old daughter to carry a pregnancy if she were raped.
This was not a good man. His death doesn’t erase that legacy. It just underlines the deep sickness of a country where the very gun culture he worshipped came back to claim him.
Stop whitewashing Charlie Kirk. A tragic end doesn’t rewrite a lifetime of damage.
@realDonaldTrump Mr. President, I hope someone in your administration sees this. The new ballroom you are building ....name it the Charlie Kirk ballroom. Let his legacy live on
@StephenKing It's actually very clear, and has been for quite some time that the "gun" issue is actually a mental health issue! We need 2 things: 1. Better mental healthcare and 2. Better law authority follow-up on radicals who have access to guns. Guns are NOT the issue!
The motivation of the man who shot Charlie Kirk isn't clear (although he's probably mentally unstable--duh). What is clear is it was another example of American gun violence.
Let’s make one thing clear from the start: Charlie Kirk was the victim of a shooting in a country where he, along with other right-wing extremist influencers, have been inciting violence for years. — Kirk is neither a martyr nor a hero, he is a cause.
The cost of housing has gone up by 174% since 1990.
Childcare costs are up 120%.
Healthcare costs are up a whopping 270%.
It doesn't have to be this way. Our government can put American families first, create good jobs, and build an economy that people can afford.
@AriWagner_@MarcJSpears The math ain't mathin Einstein. Based on percent imof revenue, if WNBA players made the same split at NBA players, that's 133k/yr. Current average is 150k....they should get a decrease if anything! Wtf planet do you get your numbers from?
@MarcJSpears If the WNBA had the same revenue split the NBA players get, the player pool would be closer $100M —That’s 5x more money.
That’s average salaries closer to $667K. Top-tier WNBA stars could earn $2–3 million individually under that model.
That’s the value these women deserve.
@notbubbawallace Based on your analysis, I don't think you realize what you are saying. The League revenue is 200 million yearly. If you divide that by the number of players in the WNBA, that's 133k/year each. Their avg salary now is about 150k. They should get a decrease I based on what you say
the number of people who act like wnba players are unreasonable for wanting a larger slice of league revenue is absurd when they currently get less than 10% despite having short careers, risking their health, and being the people that the fans pay to watch.
@notbubbawallace League revenue? So if you hired me, I should get a percentage of your revenue? That's not how any of this works Einstein. Their revenue is about 200 million and expenses are 240 million. You're saying they should make more money for losing 40 million a year? Holy shit
@GarlicRamo56720@LanesBaker@clownworld Wait, you clearly don't understand how economics work buddy. You think losing 40 million a year is because it's not run efficiently? That's about the dumbest shit I've ever heard. They don't put asses in seats, period!
@LanesBaker@clownworld Is that your argument? Do you think, I don't understand revenue and profits?
If a business is ran inefficiently, net profits will suffer.
Running a WNBA team isn't up to the players, that's management. Player play, they shouldn't suffer for inefficient management.
