@BusinessInsider Its editor-in-chief, Jamie Heller, is publicly bragging about the news bot, which is an egregious attempt to replace union journalists with AI. Let’s be clear: AI cannot replace newsroom workers. It’s incapable of the original reporting and analysis that readers rely on. (4/5)

In May, @BusinessInsider laid off 25% of our members with executives saying they were “going all in on AI.” Then, in an all-hands meeting in November, Mathias Dopfner, the CEO of BI’s parent company Axel Springer, said that AI will lead to job losses. (2/5)
