@AllisonPearson Do we need to remind Allison once again that our net immigration figures are at record low levels - and take out charitable and student numbers we’re down to the ‘tens of thousands’ as per David Cameron’s targets….! And for the record, channel crossings 45% down yoy…

I am under attack for saying Labour’s claims about getting immigration under control are fake. Because they are fake. The situation is horrendous, much worse than people know. Hundreds of thousands of rejected illegal migrants are still here. Deportations are a tiny fraction.

@truemagic68 @Solly01 David with respect it’s just a right wing ‘news’ channel that stokes division, race hatred and is funded by foreign billionaires …. Not really a proper channel

@MatthewStadlen They have the reserve vote. Unlike your shower trying to prosecute our military. Yet your lot are letting thousands of immigrants in and some are raping and killing us. But you don’t want to talk about that do you?

Robert Jenrick has been a desperate and disastrous appointment by Reform.

@mikegalsworthy In your dreams! Make Brexit work - put your shoulder to the wheel. Also the cost of rejoining would be prohibitive. We can’t afford it.

Under Reform, hard work will be rewarded. No tax on overtime. You keep the extra money you earn. Not Rachel Reeves. Simple.

Everyone is panicking about @RestoreBritain_ splitting @reformparty_uk vote and allowing Burnham to win. The panic is misplaced. The worst political outcome would be Restore stepping aside to allow Reform a victory. With its current direction of travel, Reform offers the country no redemption. By stepping aside, Restore would concrete in Reform’s hopelessness. Restore must fight this election and do the best it can. If it were to gain 7% of the vote, as predicted, that would send an earth quake through Reform. Reform might then correct its ways. A Burnham victory makes not a blind bit of difference to the country. Labour has a 156 seat majority. Whether Burnham or some other idiot from Labour becomes PM makes no difference. And for those worried about an early general election - turkeys do not vote for Christmas. It is not happening. Restore and Rebecca Shepherd must fight this by election tooth and nail. I know @_AdvanceUK supporters are already in Makerfield campaigning on their behalf. I will help where I can.

Starmer, Burnham, Farage, Polanski…These men have one thing in common. They all want nationalisation. That will mean companies run by politicians but paid for with YOUR money. There’s only one party that stands against their failed ideas and that’s the Conservatives.

@AllisonPearson @ukhomeoffice Poor Allison doesn’t quite know what to report now that net immigration is at record low levels heading towards net zero. Channel crossings also down by almost 50% compared to last year. Either Allison celebrates these statistics openly …. Or.. what would that make her?

The Government is definitely up to something. Asylum caseworkers tell me they are awaiting large numbers of cases but hardly any are coming through. Where are they? Where are you hiding them - and why? @ukhomeoffice Misusing official data to mask terrible failure.
Home Office@ukhomeoffice

Asylum decisions have quadrupled. The asylum backlog is now down from its peak of 175,000 to 49,000 people awaiting a decision - the lowest level since 2019. More decisions mean more asylum hotel closures and more illegal migrants removed or deported.

Labour will try and take credit for this reduction in net migration. But it is mainly due to the visa changes that I introduced as Home Secretary in Dec 2023 and which Labour opposed at the time.

@AllisonPearson Poor Allison never had a good grasp of facts & figures or being able to communicate in a sensible way (we remember the tweets Ally) We’ve exactly the SAME number of people leaving UK…problem is no one wants to come here legally any more, that’s why the net fig is down.
