In my fun and fantastic interview with Owen Strachan, I said that I've gone back and forth on the EFS question. The next day, in God's providence, I interviewed Kyle Claunch on EFS (and more). Over the course of 1.5 hours, Kyle persuaded me to close the door on EFS for good. (Although I'm ALWAYS happy to let scripture change my mind!) I think there's more to be said at the meta level about the EFS conversation, including the need for humility and charity, but for now, I'll simply commend this interview to you and pray that it bears significant fruit. Despite claiming to want a wider front door for church membership than 1689 confessing churches, the irony of “mere confession” baptists is that the very principle by which they utilize a smaller (mere) confession of faith—namely, that every member *strictly subscribe* to their entire confession—is the very thing that often makes them MORE restrictive toward prospective members than most 1689 confessional baptists, who merely demand a “subscription of unity.”

These were the birth and abortion numbers that I sent viral last year. 2023 and 2024 numbers for abortions were estimates. The actual data for 2023 is now out: it is higher than the estimate. Britain is self-euthanising as a society. 🇬🇧📉
