@petecodes Did exactly that stack to replace webflow at @ImprovMX. But it wasn't to save money. Flat astro files are simply a more AI native format. So easy to have claude modify our website of files compared to the proprietary webflow ux + buggy mcp.

James saved a lot of money with coding his own solutions 💰 A prime candidate for this is cutting out Framer/Webflow - Make a site in Cluade with Astro.JS - Push that to Github - Cloudflare hosts for free and syncs with GitHub That's what I did for my newsletter directory

I've permanently saved $300/mo on SaaS apps by either switching to open-source or using Fable I don't trust apps to not be selling my data or using it to train their AIs or smth, so I've been on a side-quest to self-host everything in the last few months I've replaced these 6:

Does anyone else hate 'passkeys'. They're being forced on us everywhere but they are an awul user experience imo

Now my feed is back to normal, got a wee question: If you've been enjoying the High Signal newsletter I send, I have an ad spot available tmrw 2,000 founders on my list, open rates usually 33% $150 and it gets you a 31 DR backlink too Any takers?

@petecodes I’m interested, but we’re not quite ready to launch yet. How often do these spots open up?

Any reason my newsletter directory just got 200+ spammy backlinks? Seems random!

4 months ago I quit my 9-5 to focus on my product. today: under $1K MRR, 8 months of runway left. my options: a) go back to a job b) consult part-time c) pray revenue grows faster what would you actually do in my place? (honest answers only, not what sounds good on LinkedIn)
