One of the main reasons I went to Yosemite this weekend was in hopes of catching a lunar rainbow aka a moonbow.
Our eyes don’t pick up the vibrant colors at night like we experience them in the day. In fact they are almost a dull grey but you can make out faint colors when it’s strong enough. The cameras sensor on the other hand can pick the full range of colors which you can see here.
This composition shows both upper and lower Yosemite falls with the moonbow in the mist of the upper falls. Happy to add this to my collection.
