So @VanessaOnAir just agrees The market loves the budget But the media doesn’t .. 😂. She outplayed you .. media deliberately misinterpreted what she said and you were outplayed. Good. Be embarrassed. She’s staying. @LBC you should be all sued for defamation

@NerineHalton Labour supporters make me laugh. I haven’t even seen the interview, but if this was Kemi being spoken to allegedly so badly, you’d all be whooping with joy. Hypocrits! Btw - I didn’t vote for the Conservatives at the last election.

The savage assault on Reeves today from our heroically impartial BBC is genuinely shocking. As far as I can see : The markets are happy The Backbenchers are happy The people aren’t rioting This outrage is confected and engineered to topple Reeves and Starmer. Criminal IMO

They were elected “because they weren’t the Tories” says @mattfrei @LBC No - millions of us voted because they believed in @UKLabour and @Keir_Starmer and still do. You can’t turn around a catastrophe in 18 months. Why didn’t you allow the Tories 14 years Matt? But not Labour

Today I received my follow-up cancer scan without being asked to pay a penny. An NHS free at the point of use - revolutionary in 1948 and essential today. Owned by us for all of us. I’ll always defend it. (And thanks @RoyalFreeNHS!)

@Anniepop2027 @LBC You talk crap. Terrible politics of envy! I’m a business owner and haven’t had a 7% pay rise.

Matthew Wright nails it. Why do employers, Tories, media not want people to have a rise in living wage ? Bosses in business had 7% rise, why not workers )? Most on UC are in work ! We are subsidising businesses instead of them paying proper wage @LBC Stop being gaslit

Rachel Reeves’ Budget now seen to be a real triumph. City & Financial Markets happy, Labour MPs pleased, Reserves now greater than expected for investment & build up of public services & Tory media in paroxysm of desperation at failure to discredit it

Numbers do not lie. There is one simple, undisputable fact: this Labour government has overseen a drop of nearly 80% in net migration.

Elizabeth Bangs -No accountability? No democracy.
The budget is looking better and better the closer I look at it. Reeves has managed to calm openly warring factions, keep the markets calm and lay foundations for a longer strategy. She didn't carelessly burn any political capital. She trod on no mines. She is growing in stature.

@peterhall1964 @nowak_paul Well tesco etc could choose to reduce their profits. Tesco did very well last year. They have relied on benefits to keep wages down

@stephen501 @nowak_paul Yes - but you’ve just said now. Your original post says it’s time for businesses to pay more. Hence you will pay more.

@stephen501 @nowak_paul That’s not really the point I’m making. Would you be happy to pay an increase in all the goods and services you buy/use? Great if you are happy - not sure that is reflective of the general population

@stephen501 @nowak_paul That’s the easy bit. Now try getting customers to pay the increase in the goods/services they buy/use. Puts a slightly different perspective on it.

Kemi Badenoch has launched a disgusting personal attack on the Chancellor, Rachel Reeves. It's really difficult to listen to. Absolutely shameful behaviour from the leader of the opposition.
