@civilengineer If it's reliant on public subsidies & considered a worthwhile enterprise, I'd say there is a good argument that it should be publicly owned.

There's some truth here. I'm prepared to listen to arguments about helping kick start something good, but certainly not permanent subsidies of the renewables industries, which are built on top of lies about their competitors.

@KenMclee @RonniSalt Never heard the explainer: If, as I hear from representative bodies, so many small businesses are marginal to the point where they can't pay their owners a decent return, why would they automatically pass on benefits from govt concessions to others?

Ok. So here's how you stimulate the economy. Give money directly to consumers, not businesses, consumers. There's no point giving it straight to business because only they benefit. A dollar has greater value to the economy the more times it changes hands and is spent.
