well, on the go train this morning, some lady had an absolute fit because she figured Farley was going to eat her. He was just sitting beside me near the door because there were no seats. he didn't even move. guess he is really frightening or not really!!!

I seem to have open file itis. The disease of always thinking open files should be taken. Does anyone have a chapter from a book (or other resource) that contains examples of not taking open files. I need to undermine my instinct to grab every open file. #chesspunks

@briankardell Thanks I’ll keep a look out for it. I’m really trying to understand how different browsers are approaching the problem

Excited about getting the whole visual order thing sorted out in CSS... (A slide from #blinkon presentation introducing blink/standards work on this problem)

so an update on work things. I found a way of getting there while avoiding the intersection from hell. This is useful. Today was interesting though, there are still several issues with the building itself like destination dispatch elevators that don't work properly

Is it common knowledge that Safari and Firefox don't properly support tabbing pages making them unaccessible to keyboard users? Checking with my #a11y champions @xirclebox @toddlibby

@DoctorScull @ChessTempo Have a look at some of the help info to get an idea of stats available. They have a variety of options to evaluate your strengths and weaknesses. #userstatistics" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">chesstempo.com/manual/en/manu…

Last @chesstempo question of the day. When I click stats, there isn't much there. Are there any graphs/breakdowns of different strengths and weakness like lichess has? Is this a paid feature? #chesspunks

@cjforms @adamsilverhq In my experience it's the disparate systems employees and clients use to interact with a corporate entity, from SAP to legacy software and the new custom built data dashboard

@adamsilverhq It’s the new name for what we used to do in the 1990s but weren’t allowed to do from 2000: Trying to improve the systems that workers use inside organisations. The canonical examples: timesheets and travel booking / expenses. But really, all “legacy systems” used by staff.

What’s ‘enterprise UX’? 1. Data tables, search, filter, pagination, modals and edit-in place? 2. Lots of users? 3. Big company? 4. Other?

@natesolon I started with Discovering Chess Openings, John Emms, and then followed it with First Steps: 1 e4 e5 also by GM Emms . I'd say Discovering... focuses on understanding concepts first

What opening books/courses are there that are ACTUALLY for beginners? I've been looking around and I feel much of the stuff marketed to beginners is really more for intermediate+.
