@cliftonaduncan The culture war is completely manipulated by babylon and the 'useful' grifters on SC just cannot help themselves. Because a nation divided is not only easy to govern, but will offer little resistance to authoritarian overreach....

In 2003 a black man played God in a major motion picture that grossed ~$500M (over $820M today). No one was outraged. No one boycotted. No one cared. Thank the lord this came out before everything became a stupid "Culture War" issue.

"Chronicles of the Riddick" has great re-watch value. Every screen time, just as interesting as the first time.

@IAtalkspace Fantastic film. Thandiwe Newton does a wonderful Lady MacBeth role, encouraging her husband to seize power. "You keep what you kill - that is the Necromonger way!"

@MobilePunch This is wrong. Nigerian soldiers should be paid a decent living wage and benefits that reflect the fact that they signed up to protect the nation with their lives. If this is 10x N250k, then so be it.

There is a school I am consulting for to set up their Public Health program I cannot imagine the amount of stress the dean is putting me through If I knew they would stress me like this, I wouldn’t have accepted their meager offer I would have billed them well

Even after Trump, it'll take a very long time for America to go back to its more open immigration system. The people have spoken, they want a more closed system.

In 1992, Governor Michael Otedola of Lagos signed a controversial PR contract with a communications consultancy firm reported to be worth ₦400 million. The governor's spokesperson, Sina Ogunbambo, said the objective of the campaign was not to launder the image of the state government as rumoured, but to make people "sympathise with the government so as to promote loyalty and understanding." According to Citizen's report, the state's House of Assembly denied knowledge of the ₦400 million deal and ordered a legislative investigation. A lawmaker, Niyi Fabikun, noted that the contract's value represented 10% of the state's revenue allocation. Another lawmaker, F.O.A. Arebi, said it was insensitive at a time when thousands of school pupils could not sit for the last promotions exam due to the state's financial constraints. But the governor's spokesperson dismissed the controversy. "We will continue to use reputable external communications consultants," he said.

@ose_anenih Bro, he will see that as too much hassle. He will just continue to hire workers from India. And the ministry of internal affairs will issue as many expat quota licenses as he asks for. I'm tired NGMI

I took the train from Kings Cross to Leeds then Leeds to Bradford Interchange for Bradford Literature Festival. On the platform as I arrived in Bradford a man in train uniform stops me "excuse me are you Lemn Sissay". A lovely conversation ensues. We shake hands and as he's about to leave I say "you work here?" and he says " I was your train driver". He walks to the other end of the train to drive it back to Leeds. For a train driver to shake my hand and know my name is the most wonderful way to arrive in a city. I am blessed and ever thankful. His name is Andy. His wife's name is Lucy. And they had a baby. @BradfordLitFest

I remember this Danladi guy, and how he made himself an enthusiastic tool the Buhari administration used to persecute the Chief Justice of the Federation. I remember his assault of a security guard at Banex Plaza. A truly unsavory character, I hope he gets the justice he denied Justice Onnoghen.
Chidi Anselm Odinkalu, CGoF@ChidiOdinkalu

If you told anyone at the beginning of 2023 that Danladi Umar, @aamalamiSAN, & @elrufai will all be in judicially-sanctioned administrative detention in #Nigeria, the person cld have pronounced you mad, & justifiably too. But here we are. The terrible thing about about supporting injustice is the precedent you gloat at because it afflicts your enemy can come back to ensnare you. Power is transient & - for those abusing it today - No condition is permanent. channelstv.com/2026/07/09/cou…
