@akuhayum I can affirm that your linguistic perspicacity in your lingua materna is somewhat impoverished.
Yeah, you're a bit dim and need to read a shit ton more.

@OneOutof4 The Primitives have just finished a tour and 3 weeks ago played their hometown gig in Coventry where my mate captured them performing Crash. Brilliant band. Tracy's mum works as a volunteer at the wonderful Coventry Music Museum.

English

@Isaiah967967 @thelornashow @theenemyband It's a song by a Cov band, about Cov (and the down-to-earth unglamourous nature of the UK), performed in Cov's ground by the band & the fans before the game against Sheff Utd. Apart from the invention of amplification & rock music, what exactly here is 'American'?
English

@thelornashow @theenemyband Americanised. I'd rather our clubs don't do that

@anon_opin Toolhardy

@fesshole Honestly most men would be happy with new socks, underwear, t shirts or a belt.
English

@MRCOOLSDREAM Mick's Company. An absolute banger. And the A side (My Ever Changing Moods) is rather good too. Quite possibly the best bit of 7" vinyl I own.

@kostekcanu A long time ago we took our lovely 3 yr old to the Nottingham Open. She was as good as gold but eventually got a bit bored & whiney. All eyes on me as I carried her out of the stands. All eyes including those of @GregRusedski1 & @lleytonhewitt. Oops. Sorry lads.

@JulienHoez Well seeing as I (Remainer) worked with EU information for 12 yrs I'd say I was a lot more informed than the typical Leave voter, but yeah stereotyping is an easy trap to fall into. It's probably more about logic versus emotion. If you don't understand it resort to gut feeling.
English

Some very strong and biased opinions here on the capacity of British pro-Europeans to be aware of technical details, as if Remainers are somehow inherently superior to people who voted to leave just because they dislike the EU.
Which was silly long-term, but at least makes sense

@Daves1412 @andrewhesselden @JulienHoez Those of us that voted to remain in the EU are fully aware of the consequences of the loss of our European Citizenship. It is those that voted to leave the EU that still can’t comprehend what this means for their rights to live, work, visit & conducted business in EU countries.
English

@eddieizzard Definitely a Spit, probably a Mk IX or later judging by the 4 bladed prop. I'm sure someone will be able to give more detail.

A little bit of dystopian flash fiction - babbitman.wordpress.com/2025/05/24/the…
English

@WarMonitor3 Pie in the sky wishful thinking. Too many different power bases & ideologies to have such a thing. Turkey, Saudi, Iran - never going to agree to it.
English

Another interesting fact I have come across into todays strategy research.
Jihadi documents from Al Qaeda before 911 claims that drawing the US into the Middle East was in an effort to drain them of their resources in such a way social discontent for interventionism would lead them to completely withdraw from the Middle East and leave room for the creation of a caliphate in the Middle East free from their influence.
Whats your thoughts on this?
English

@ClaireNorth42 Oh yum!
All about Hephaestus this time?
I know, I know, I can see the rocket. Very much looking forward to this.
English

@milkyonesug My little Cookie! My furry fella. My chase-around-the-garden playmate. My ambush pal.
English

@ArtCandee Mump kind of works given their approach to vaccination & the disease they are introducing to American government.

If anyone's interested in artworks depicting historic British aviation events I'm selling a large print of the very first flight of the first British aircraft in 1908:

@SoVeryBritish Unless it's a heavy wooden framed mirror and you're barefoot. I almost passed out with the pain & my big toenail went black & fell off the following week.
English

@jon_cronshaw Probably "A Fall of Moondust" by Arthur C Clarke. I was still about a year or so away from discovering Douglas Adams.
English

@enbyinjail You're blummin amazing, you'll be fine, hang on in there 😊
