UPDATE: The Prim family tells #eNCA that Jermaine was indeed moved to #CMAX prison on Saturday night. The family says Prim confirmed today whilst in court with them that he was electrocuted and tortured in prison & hasn’t been given food to eat since Saturday. They fear for his safety. His sentencing didn’t go ahead today. It was postponed to July. The court was also told by the state that Jermaine was in possession of contraband (cellphone) which he used for the interview with #eNCA This is NOT TRUE. He did not call us from a cellphone. Jermaine made the call to #eNCA on Friday morning the day before just after 11am from this Prison number 011 942 3088 labelled as Sun City, a name given to Johannesburg Prison. @eNCA @Abramjee

Tonight, we returned to a building owned by foreign national George Asaba. We made a commitment that we will not stop our targeted approach of dealing with his questionable business practices. He steals water and electricity from the city. Tonight, we arrested several illegal immigrants from Mozambique that we found working on site. @CityTshwane
Dr Nasiphi Moya@nasiphim

Our teams are working hard to find every illegal electricity and water connection at the Asaba buildings. One by one

@Joe__Bassey Watch this video until the end. You’ll see that South Africa is the most welcoming nation; we host more African nationals than any other country on the continent. We have our challenges with foreigners who are involve in crime youtu.be/yQIA7IRJJ0Q

It’s sad how some South Africans are targeting businesses of Africans from other countries in SA. Some even think people who run legitimate businesses are taking their jobs. Africans going to South Africa 🇿🇦 for business should be careful. Recently President Cyril Ramaphosa pointed out that inflation and hardship will soon hit the highest in the country and that they should cope with him as he’s doing everything possible. Yet some people are attacking other Africans doing legitimate business in the name of protecting their country, while White people who control most of the country’s economy and land live comfortably and are not being called out. The sad reality is that most of those people, especially from Zimbabwe, are of the same ethnicity as them but are divided by colonial borders.

@Joe__Bassey Where did you get the notion that Whites control most of the land in RSA from? Why don't you tell us how this recent chaos started?

@StateAffairsHub @NigeriaStories You're projecting. What is the real issue? How did the violence start? Who started it? Do you think it's normal to disrespect, treat with disdain, and abuse people in their own country and expect those people to take it all on the chin forever?

@phungula_BC @NigeriaStories Nobody said your struggle starts and ends with Mandela relax. The point is you’re deflecting instead of addressing the real issue. Listing heroes doesn’t fix the present. Stay on topic.

As a Zambian, I’d also like everyone coming into our country to respect our laws. We equally anticipate Zambians to respect laws of every country that welcomes them in. You don’t enter into someone’s country, begin to dictate your own rules & even want to instal your own king !

@seed_empire212 @kehindespence @NigeriaStories Label us as you wish. We've even warning against these online attitudes for a long time. Today, people like you took this disrespect to peaceful protestors & even escalated it to violence. In turn, they were met with more violence & I expect it to get worse. Carry on!

@Michael66666601 @KayMatthews_10 @NigeriaStories It's pointless engaging you about RSA issues. You clearly know very little about the country. I'm not about to write long pieces about the Madlanga Commission & Ad-Hoc Committee & how it relates to issues around drug traffic and related criminality.

@StateAffairsHub @NigeriaStories We are bitter and toxic because you think we are? This country & our struggle don't revolve around Mandela. We had many gallant freedom fighters. Stop distracting from the issue at hand.

@phungula_BC @NigeriaStories Then stop killing, destroying, and complaining, and focus. If there is something wrong the government will know about it and tackle it. Isn't that simple?

The Eastern Cape isn’t an abstract province — it’s home to amaXhosa, amaMpondo, amaThembu, and other nations with living kings and chiefs whose authority predates the current state. To declare it someone else’s “homeland” without engaging those structures is not just audacious, it’s politically reckless. It revives the very wounds of imposed boundaries and dispossession that South Africa is still trying to heal.

@AmaniKweli @joseph_kalimbwe @SmartA39714192 The point is that matters of traditional authority are highly sensitive in RSA. Also, we're dealing with a lot of lawlessness & the culprits seem to be mostly the same people. It's dangerous to live among too many people who think they can do as they please without consequences.

@phungula_BC @joseph_kalimbwe @SmartA39714192 Thank you for this. According to this the “Naija King” is not legally a King, right? So, what’s the fuss, when you know he is NOT, and moreover the people that will refer to him as King will ONLY be his friends and girlfriend?
