@HMRCcustomers Entering tax return online for self employed business & property. The profits are above the personal allowance, but when showing or printing the tax calculation, the class 4 NI due calculation is missing completely, and just shows income tax due. Why would this be?

@MeganT2023 @AXS_UK Yes. After a DM exchange of info they did something to the app, asked me to refresh/reload app and the transfer button became live.

@AXS_UK I have tickets for O2 Billie Eilish on Thursday 10th at the O2 but the transfer button is not enabled in the app. How can my partner and friends use them if I cannot transfer?

@pianosalve You need to enter the figure under the section 'Tax refunded or set off' , where there is a question asking ' If you’ve had any 2023–24 Income Tax refunded or set off by us or Jobcentre Plus '. Amandine

@HMRCcustomers Box 2, UK tax taken off, in the Employment self assessment SA102 pages: what should be entered if a full refund of the tax taken off was subsequently given to the employee? Thanks

@HMRCcustomers Yes tax was paid via PAYE. Employment ended September 2023. The tax paid was refunded in July this year. The SA form wants figures from the P45, but since the tax shown there has been refunded what do I now put down in box 2 tax taken? Thanks

@OctopusEnergy Dec 31st email to me said you would not pass on January price increases. But now my latest bill shows shows price increases have indeed been passed on and applied to bill. No prior notice of a turnaround in policy. This is therefore unexpected and disappointing.

@paullewismoney @SagaUK The column is misleading? On two occasions I have had genuine calls from my bank, asking to verify some details. Both times it was the fraud department querying transactions. In one of the cases they caught and stopped fraud activity which was likely from an ATM skimmed card.

The next window in your @SagaUK advent calendar is, ahem, part of my column. Still in my festive hat (the DJ is what I always work in) just an extract from Money News. My main story is Winter of Discontent and, yes, it is about the failure of the gas and electricity markets.

Hi folks, shows over. JAmmed full of complex content today - hopefully we got through it in a way that was understandable. Never easy to get the right balance. Martin #martinlewis

@sarahoconnor_ Some small biz cannot afford to pay SSP for long if at all. Covid19 related SSP can be claimed back for 2 weeks only. Your point is valid but the small biz impact is too.

Shame on me, given my job, but only since the pandemic have I really started to understand how threadbare the UK's safety net has become. Take statutory sick pay. The UK is now at the very bottom of all OECD countries. Even Trump's America is doing more.

@L_Carew @BarneyandJoan1 @MartinSLewis In my case at renewal time I was looking elsewhere, but their automated online package proposal recognised I had not used my landline phone, and proposed a phoneless renewal option for broadband!

@HMRCcustomers On my HMRC employer PAYE dashboard for August, the EA NI allowance has not been deducted for the 'er NI' amount. The furlough rules did say employers pay 'er NI' from August, but I still have EA credit remaining. Why has the usual EA credit not been applied?
