I've been streaming more lately! On a scale of: 1 (painful/cringe) 10 (@starbuxman) I'm confident that I'm at least a 3, but, I'm trending in the right direction. #everyrepcounts I need 5 more followers to hit the 200-milestone! twitch.tv/javagrunt

For some reason, I got promoted to L9, received a new title ("Chief Evangelist at @googlecloud"), and welcomed our terrific doc writers into DevRel. It proves that an excellent team can make almost ANYONE look competent! Thanks to @gabemonroy and many others for their support.

Btw, this is why biography books are interesting. There are small nuggets of unknowns revealed. TIL Elon Musk actually interned at Microsoft, that too in their Toronto office.

Reached the 37th page of a new book in one go. Feels like an achievement after switching to audiobooks and the brain tainted by nonstop digital stimulators.

What percentage of your brain is dedicated to worrying about dropping an AirPod down a sewer grate? It’s like 40% for me

Yesterday, I took my first ever self driving @Waymo ride. The whole experience was very comfortable, not much different from a regular driver. I never felt at risk "in a machine", it felt like other regular ride sharing apps, which is a good thing. Video youtu.be/5wXO05s-pLc

@immad You're doing it right. They're all lying. If you do it enough your brain will convince you to start lying to everyone too, then eventually you'll believe it.

People say that they feel happy and euphoric after exercise. I feel generally cranky and tired. What am I doing wrong?

@pioverpi @rseroter It’ll take me a little while to make a demo version. For clarity, we’re caching “what do I infer I should build” not the actual build itself?

If you *love* writing Dockerfiles, you're a very special person and we celebrate you. The other 99.85% of us look for other ways to get the "containerization" step out of the way. Buildpacks are a good option. Our docs have improved lately: cloud.google.com/docs/buildpack…

@dbrtly_ @rseroter If you got a github repo with some yaml in it i'd be happy to take a look.

@rseroter @dbrtly_ 👋 when using buildpacks locally with the pack CLI, first build will be slow but subsequent builds should be a lot quicker. If you're using something like Cloud Build you'll have to explicitly enable artifact caching by writing a short build.yaml to pass `--cache` flag to pack
