I fly a lot - this week: Halifax -> Boston -> SF -> Boston -> Halifax. It’s taken over ten months of experimentation to nail my recovery regime: - I bought the hype and an eight sleep is actually worth it - I sleep deeper and it helps a lot with the jet lag - Running as soon as I land / anything that gets the heart rate above 160 for >20mins - When I’m run down an IV drip to help with hydration - it’s mostly placebo but it’s wild how much it helps. - To the best of my ability, avoiding terrible plane food / eating well which is a real struggle. A work in progress for sure

GLM 5.2 (like everyone else) but running a dedicated 8xB200 with NVFP4 checkpoint and MTP can easily get to 180-200 tok/sec (running in high effort). Makes you reconsider what is the actual speed most of us get from GPT 5.5 and Opus 4.8 (around 10 tok/sec-ish most of the time).

1/6 Toronto Tech Week is here. There are a lot of events this week. These are the ones I told our portfolio founders to prioritize.

Amar has been the quiet GOAT of the Toronto ecosystem for many years! Lucky to be able to call @avarma for his advice - he always picks up, cares and dispenses wisdom generously. Thank you for your friendship @avarma and for all you do.
Evan McCann@evansammccann

For years, @avarma has been one of the most important people in Toronto tech without many outside the ecosystem fully understanding why. He helped build Xtreme Labs. Autonomic sold to Ford. Xtreme’s story even brushes up against Tinder. He has been described as “sort of the king of Toronto.” Others put it more bluntly: “What people don’t realize is that he was carrying Toronto and KW tech on his back.” Now, with Mantle, he is building again. @edsim Things will only accelerate! More software, more code, more vulnerabilities. The bottleneck is still humans.

argh @Google shut down the google workspace account I created for my @openclaw for vague reasons apparently related to concerns that it wasn't human created. What other email providers do folks use with their Claw?

Feeling like the cost of software development is trending to zero, but the cost of security and operational management is about to skyrocket 🚀

This is exactly what I wrote about. Jews are being targeted simply because they are Jewish. Not politics. Not policy. Just identity. If that doesn’t alarm you, you’re not paying attention. Or you’re choosing not to. nationalpost.com/opinion/canadi…

The synagogue I attended as a boy and youth, where I was bar mitzvah'd and received my primary Jewish education, now under gunfire in once-peaceable North York, Ontario.

@edsim The larger the org, the harder it is to adopt to the speed. Human change is a hard problem that moves slow. Small teams with people in the code, have an advantage..

A recurring theme from this week’s meetings: Founders have massively unlocked engineering speed. Now the org has to keep up. Product compounds weekly. Marketing updates nonstop. Sales is still absorbing last week’s release. This isn’t instability. It’s acceleration. Need to pick your battles and prioritize. Velocity is no longer a code problem. It’s an org design problem

I have agents in Notion, Claude, Clay, HubSpot, plus OpenClaw running a mini army… At this point I need an agent to track my agents 😂 Need a personal mission control for digital workers. No setup. No glue code. Zero lift. Who’s building it?

Introducing Oz: the platform to orchestrate agents in the cloud. Spin up hundreds of agents from your terminal, browser, the API, or your phone. Each agent gets a @docker environment to build, test, and write PRs. Come back from your lunch break to code that’s ready to merge.

Do you leave your unlocked laptop unattended at a coffee shops? Yet, this is what we do when we run AI agents in yolo mode.. 3Cs is a framework of how to think about AI Agent security: Contain, Curate, Control -> docker.com/blog/the-3cs-a…
