@safe_breathe Amazing! I was told I need to move offices. Currently have my own office with 2 to 4 Coworkers in their own offices. New set up is an older building and most likely an open workspace with several coworkers. 😷 I would be curious of the air quality as I am immunocompromised.

@pir8tequeen @lsingram It was a few years ago I think I paid $8,000. From my neighbors who have had the same thing done more recently they have said it's still in that range.

Water heater died last night. 5 yrs old, still under warranty. Called Manufacturer, they said they'd send parts, but that'd be 4-6 days. Couldn't leave my family without hot water that long. So I called local repair company, they'd been there 5 minutes when they quoted me $1,100 to fix it. Wouldn't break it down to parts and labor until I leaned on them hard. - $300 parts - $800 labor For 30-40 minutes of work. For a water heater that cost me $700 with sales tax. I called the manufacturer back and told them the situation and that I planned on buying a new unit at The Home Depot and install it myself (I'd installed my current one). Rheem said no problem, take your old one with you and we'll give you full credit towards your new one. With the military discount from my buddy that was helping me, I was out of pocket a whole $65 when it was all said and done, and even traded up a model with a longer warranty. Thank you Rheem, thank you Home Depot. Fuck off predatory appliance repair companies.

@OCpatriot_ @lsingram How much did it cost to have the whole house repiped? Been thinking about it but I imagine it's a big chunk of change.

Had 3 slab leaks, then had the whole house repiped. That's legit skilled labor that I would never dream of doing myself, and I paid a plumber to do it, and never regretted it. Thanks for explaining how businesses operate, I'd never in a million years have known that with my post graduate degree in business and 20+ yrs business experience.

@GeauxGabrielle Same. What do you do at family gatherings? Do you mask during family holiday and birthday parties etc? My largest flaw in this is that I struggle when it comes to family gatherings about whether to wear a mask

Example: I am vaccinated every June and January for COVID. I work at home. I havent been in a grocery store in years. I mask everywhere or use nasal sprays. I test regularly. And I have not been sick in any way since 2022 (got COVID from a donor event). But even that isnt enough for the people who dont really care about COVID, they care about moral virtue signaling. And that mindset has permeated EVERYTHING.

@michael_hoerger @SalvMattera I've been using Profi but wonder if I should switch to Azelastine? Any side effects? When I get home each night I still do a nasal saline rinse as an extra precaution because becoming a hermit and moving to a small island isn't financially feasible. 🙃 😷

Dems REALLY need to begin forcefully presenting a narrative that Trump is erratic AND unstable AND no longer able to carry out the duties of the presidency - as the entire non-US world knows - and therefore he MUST be removed from office.
